This local bakery sells made from scratch breads, cookies, pies, cakes, and unbelievably scrumptious donuts and breakfast pastries. Fresh fruits, home made butter cream frosting and fillings from the best ingredients top them off. Their butterflake twisted donut was the best glazed pastry I've ever eaten. The owner comes in at 1AM each day to start making bread. I am sad that I didn't get to try the shortbread and Florentine cookies. Cashmere is fortunate to have a bakery with a quality product and large variety. There are not many Mom and Pop shops left sad today. I was so excited when I walked thru the door. The first product I saw that caught my eye was sour cream bars. Nobody makes sour cream bars. I asked to meet the baker and come to find out he worked for me in the mid 70’s for a short time. The doughnuts and other pastries are simply devine! This place welcomes you with the warm smell of yummy goodness as you walk in. It takes me back to the bakeries of my childhood. The Crispies are an adventure for the taste buds, they are crispy, cinnamony, chewy and delicious.
