McDonald's — Restaurant in Casper

It is McDonalds, so getting your order wrong is fairly common. But tonight, my daughter wanted to get a late night meal, and I thought a Big Mac sounded really good myself. We waited in line behind 1 other car for about 10 minutes before getting to the window to get our order. During the wait behind the other car, we witnessed a few exchanges of bags and receipts from the car in front of us. Finally, they got their food and drove off. We pulled up to the window, and the man quickly opened the window and handed us our bag of food. I should have checked what they gave us, but at this point, it was nearing 11 pm and the wait to get to this point had me in a hurry myself. As I get home, I realize that instead of a Big Mac, I received a spicy chicken sandwich. Boy was this a huge letdown for me because I was really looking forward to the Big Mac.

I wasn't going to purposely get on and write a review, but when my phone gave me a notification that I was at McDonald's and asked if I wanted to write a review, I figured why not. More often than not, my order has some sort of issue. Whether it be missing items or items that I didn't order in lieu of what I did order, soda dripping from the outside of the drinks cups, as well as a handful of various imperfections. I feel that quality is far too often sacrificed in favor of quantity when we choose to get food from here. Take some pride in your job, no matter how insignificant it may seem to you or someone else. Fortunately, my little girls meal was correct because her being let down due to someone else's rushing and negligence hits her harder...

Fast Food, Faster Regret:

Ah, McDonald's. The siren song of convenience, the fleeting love of my lunch break, the one who whispers, "Just this once," and then leaves me bloated, regretful, and questioning my life choices in the Target parking lot.

It's not that I don't know better. I do. Every adult knows better. But somehow, the golden arches shine through the fog of wisdom and common sense like a lighthouse guiding broken ships straight into the rocks.

We have history, McDonald's. You were there for me when I was broke, tired, and just needed something that tasted like childhood and bad decisions. You’ve seen me at my best (college road trips) and my worst (crying at 2 a.m. in a drive-thru). You know my weaknesses: the fries, the nuggets, the false promise that maybe this time it won’t wreck my gallbladder like a wrecking ball into a sandcastle.

But no. Every time, it's the same: a rush of greasy euphoria followed by the slow, inevitable descent into gastrointestinal despair. A stomach full of betrayal. A heart full of broken McDreams.

And yet... like a fool, I return. Maybe it’s nostalgia. Maybe it’s denial. Maybe it’s because they put just enough crack in the McFlurry machine to keep me coming back even though it’s always broken.

McDonald's, you are the ex I can’t block. The one I trash talk with my friends, swear off forever, and then text at midnight like, “You up?” And somehow, somehow......

It kinda a love hate relationship with this place . The employees that take my order and give my order are extremely excellent 👌 no complaints there when I go there for breakfast always fast and they get my order right 10 out of 10 times it's freaking awesome. Now with that being said my only issue with this place is when ever I order the 2 cheese burger meal ,I don't know if it's a joke or it's done deliberately because it's happened every time I've gone threw drive threw and I've even walked in because I figured they just can't hear me or whatever it might be but everytime I order a that 2 cheese burger meal I get it with mustard and pickle only sounds easy right? Nope every freaking time it's been wrong . I'll get either only pickle and seriously it will be one pickle or just with a hint of mustard or it's just regular or even worse it's smothered in onions and ketchup I never say anything and just accept it and prepare it right once I get home because I was told by my nephew he heard at school that people that complain about their order and they have to remake it, let's just say it's best to let sleeping dog lie . So for fear of getting an extra ingredient I leave it be and stop getting that meal altogether and just get nuggets instead. Sucks too because I really like that meal 😪 but anywho, it's my go to place for breakfast...
