My first visit to this place was a takeout order. I did the Dave Portnoy thing and ordered the plain cheese pizza to go. I've got to say that I was pretty impressed. The pie had a delightfully thin, foldable crust with a nice "undercarriage." The sauce had just the right amount of spice, and the cheese blend was spot on. I'll be back to try a more "accessorized" pizza soon, and will check out the dining room next time. And I've heard the meatballs are great, so I'll try those too!

UPDATE: I stopped at Conti's to sit down for lunch with my son when they opened at 11 a.m., and we were warmly welcomed by the owner when he unlocked the door. This time I ordered a couple of the meatballs. They were superb, with a really nice marinara, and were served quickly. We ordered one of their specialty pizzas, APIZZA SPICY, and it was excellent. Perfect crust, and I loved the pepperoni they used. This will become a regular stop when I'm on that side of town.
