On a scale of cotton candy to Brussels sprouts, Trolley Barn Eatery reminds me of a small town romance novel. This eatery feels like it's smack dab in a small town though it's located in a Pittsburgh suburb. Orders are taken at the register in the back, and a waitress will seat you (it was packed on a Sunday morning). If you order coffee, tea, or water, you will need to serve yourself from the coffee maker by the register as well as grab your napkins and utensils. There's a certain charm about the eatery, but if you're concerned about COVID, I'd recommend ordering takeout since it's a small restaurant with a loyal crowd. The meal was delicious, and looking at the photos make me want it again!

Tripped over this place today ... I order breakfast sandwich sausage egg / cheese /bacon with side of Red skin potatoes. The meal was pretty good & very reasonably priced . The owner & wife where very nice and accommodating offer great service on time. The inside of the place was clean & had great historical pictures of the city of pittsburgh. I will be back for fish fry on Friday ...

My partner and I came here for the first time today and we loved it. They had such a cute and cozy atmosphere. We love finding what people call "hole in the wall" diners and love to experience different small businesses. The staff was friendly and fast. It seemed like everyone who was there had familiarity and that was a welcoming feeling. We will definitely be back!

They had the best bacon, egg cheese Croissant I ever had! Also ordered side of home fries (portion of potatoes was small compared to other places and also is a la carte which seemed strange to me) You stand in line to order your food which felt a bit awkward (felt kind of like a cafeteria) I’m not sure how elderly customers navigate this if they have a hard time walking or standing. They bring your food to your table then you clean up your own table after you finish. The booth I sat in was broken underneath. The owner and staff both checked on us and were very friendly! Maybe in the future they can get those table kiosks where you can place your order electronically (like what they have on the table at Olive Garden) so that breakfast can be more relaxing and you can enjoy your family and friends more. Next time I’ll know to order more food since I was still hungry. The most important thing is that the food...

I wish I could give more stars! From the second I walked through the door I was greeted and treated like I was in my best friends house for breakfast. I was told come on up-to the counter and order, get you own coffee and drinks, and have a seat where ever you like. After ordering breakfast getting my coffee and iced tea we sat in a booth. The food was out very quickly, the waitress followed making sure everything was to our liking followed by free refills of coffee and tea, which were brought to our table by the waitress. Everything was perfect including scrambled eggs, bacon, and one pancake, coffee and tea were both excellent. My wife had biscuits with gravy with eggs over hard which were also perfect. Fancy, no, expensive, no. Just a great friendly place for a reasonably priced great breakfast. Thank you all. We'll be back for sure!

The lady who runs it is very sweet. She always remembers my order, even with me ordering off of a regular menu Item. Food is awesome, everything is how it would be if you were cooking at home. No powdered eggs. Only downside is I'm not a fan of sitting so close to othet people, so I put 4 stars for atmosphere but I understand they need to fit more people in for the breakfast rush. I however have never had any issues with anybody sitting next to me outside of a large group being a bit louder than normal. That day I couldn't hear what I was playing on my headphones. Anyways, not to leave on a bad note. The prices are also very good for what you get, because you order from the register and your food gets delivered. Coffee is self serve, so you don't have to wait. But usually someone comes around and offers refills an top offs...
