This place is dreadful; my wife and I only ordered online from their website. My wife received a notification that the food was ready, so we went to get it, which was only 5 minutes away. The food was not ready, and they did not have one of the platters we requested. No major deal, but I told them it would be nice to have a call informing us so we could order something else. However, they still charged us; I requested that they remove it and reimburse us. The kid behind the counter said he couldn't, and I had to call door dash. I assured him that I did not order through Door Dash, but rather through their website. I didn't understand, and he was no help, so I left before losing my cool with him any further. I informed my wife, and she reviewed the recipe and the website, and everything advises to call the store if there are any problems. My wife called, and the same kid answered and told her the same thing. My wife tried to explain that there is no number to call door dash on any of their items. He then laughed at her over the phone and began telling her the same things, which caused my wife to lose her patience in him as well. Finial used the door dash app and the text chat feature, and I feel we are now getting answers and getting our money back. Sorry for the lengthy review, but I wanted to provide...

The restaurant just opened so they are going to have some initial problems to straighten out.

We had a brand new server (it was her first day)…so clearing of used dishes would have been nice, we were not offered drink refills, had to get my own silverware, we were not given a menu upon sitting down at the table, food didn’t come out at the same time or even close to the same time, asked for an itemized receipt and just got a printed total, had to ask for boxes, then for a bag. It was just very slow service.

Food: went for the $.99 cheese enchilada opening special. My kids said it best, they’re rolled tortillas with cheese melted on top. Worth the $.99 but wouldn’t buy them any other time. Food was bland. We also ordered pancakes (x2) and a puffy taco. The taco fell apart and was also bland, but my kid loved it. The pancakes were over cooked and hard to cut. They were rubbery.

Gonna let them work out the kinks and maybe try them again once they’ve been open for a while. It’s close by but not somewhere I’d eat regularly. I will try breakfast tacos next.

There is a drive thru.

Parking lot is small. Restaurant seating is limited if you’re trying to go with the opening specials but seeing the quality they don’t need more tables because it won’t be all that...

I usually don't post anything, but I feel compelled to do so. Thus was my first visit to the new location of Tia's Taco Hut on Potranco. Our server a bleached blonde pony tailed server on Monday July 22, 2024 provided us with the WORST service. We understand mistakes occur. However, when I tell you that we are missing items. How dare you question it AND go through our foil wrapped tortillas. I am sitting at the table explaining we're missing the corn tortillas requested for one of our plates as well as an asada taco. This person didn't offer an apology nor did she offer to get the missing food. Instead we get interogatory behavior from her. Come on, we're missing one taco and corn tortillas. Yet, she feels the need to interogate??? She's lucky to have received the $3 tip we left. Her RUDE behavior deserved an upside down penny for bad service!!! 😤 Because of her we will NOT be going back. We WILL warn others of the BAD MANNERED servers. Sadly this was the second location we have visited. We gave it the benefit of the doubt....

What I ordered vs what I got. This is absolutely ridiculous. I called and I spoke with Melissa this morning, who was so extremely rude and told me that I was lying. That is not what the photo shows is in the migas plate. I said I want you to look at what is on your menu versus what I got she said I don’t need to see what you got I know my menu better than you do. when I asked for her name she was mad and she said it doesn’t matter who I was speaking with. I was told there was no manager available and she disconnected the phone call. I called back this afternoon to see if there was a manager there and I spoke with Kevin and he advised he was a manager and when I started my complaint, he said oh well, I’m gonna have to get a manager for you. Her name is Cindy, but I don’t know when she’ll be in. She probably cant call you. We have ordered several times from Tia’s tacos and never had a problem and today it was problem after problem and disrespect after disrespect

My wife and I have never been to Tia’s so we wanted to give it a try. We went through the drive thru and customer service was mediocre not bad not great. The food did stay hot until we got home which was good. We got papa con chorizo, chorizo con huevo, bean and cheese and pancakes with a big red. The chorizo con huevo was very greasy and needed salt. The papa and chorizo with cheese was okay because of the cheese and the bean and cheese was actually decent. The pancakes had no flavor. If they had give a salsa I’m not sure it would have made a difference. The food could use some more work, maybe a little more seasoning or change in product. The outside was very clean and plenty of parking being its brand new. I don’t think we’ll be trying them again anytime soon but I suggest trying it for yourself because everyone has different taste buds and preferences.
