Black Rock Coffee Bar — Restaurant in Texas

Boyfriend ordered coffee through doordash so I decided I'd get the Blended I.V. From the image you would guess it's like a coffee smoothy. Since there is ice coffee then the blended option which is 3 bucks more. I requested cream on mine and some extra stuff to make it a bit more sweet since I know it would still be strong. What I got was like a cup full of cream with cold coffee. No blending really unless maybe they stirred it to melt what ice was in there to make the drink cold. It basically was a cold coffee with a ridiculous amount of cream that took up the other half of the cup. Maybe me selecting cream meant it would be extra but it either states cream or no cream so figured its an option that has to be selected in order for it to be added at all. Some please may show something with creamnin image but you still have to select it. Definitely wasnt very happy. It still tasted like it was missing half and half and sugar. I've had it regular both hot a cold, but this time i wanted more sweetness to try in smoothy form. It tasted like the regular and no blended ice at all. So 3 extra bucks for nothing. Image below is a extra large. It wasn't even full. Still plenty...

First time at Black Rock and I would def come back. The coffee was excellent! I actually don't remember what I ordered but I think it was blondie something (caramel/mocha) perfect blend of everything. The ice matcha-not so much, it tastes like straight milk with a shot a matcha. Typically matcha is an acquired taste, well anyone could have tolerated theirs because it was literally milk, very disappointing. Had the traffic on Potranco not been so bad and a one way I would have went back. The sausage/cheese/jalapeno kolache- excellent! I mean the meat to bread was little off but the sausage was really good and the flavor was there so ehhh. Lemon poppyseed scone was also very good, not dry and not too sweet, just the way I like it!!

Ways to improve...

Why not display prices for food? It would be nice before driving up to the register.

Also displaying your syrup choices instead of having to ask what flavors you offer especially when there's a line. No one wants to hold up a line.

An itemized receipt is also helpful. Almost $31 for 1 medium iced coffee, 1 medium iced matcha, 2 kolaches, 1 scone.

I love Black Rock and my husband and I always get the same thing whether hot or cold. I love my coffee black and strong but this place is where I get foo-foo coffee if I feel like getting a dessert coffee. I love the fact that they use real whipped cream and I love the fact that I can still taste the coffee, unlike Starbucks who has weak, terrible, and acidic coffee beans and washes down their coffee with too much milk, which isn’t monetarily smart. Starbucks coffee is so weak that putting any amount of milk washes out the coffee. I don’t need to ask for espresso at Black Rock to taste the coffee through the sugar, milk, and cream at Black Rock. So addicting and so worth it!!

We’ve had their pigs n a blanket and it’s great with mustard all day, but the pig can kind of be smaller than the blanket and we prefer to cut pork out of our diet as much as we can, anyway.
