Food: If You're looking for a quick lunch Scittino's is a great choice when it comes to price, flavor everything. You will not go wrong with any of the menu options! This deli has amazing meats, at least 30 on hand. Wide variety of very nice premium cuts, or simple things like sausages and packaged things whatnot. Would recommend the porketta. Made one of the best sandwiches I've ever had using it. They have a pretty big variety of everything you could ever need to make an amazing sandwich right there, including meats of course, but also outstanding cheeses, and bread from a local bakery.
Service: The people here are just outstandingly nice. Everyone is very very friendly, I had questions and they did their best to help me. I will be coming back again. Knocked off a star because the actual sandwiches are a little bit expensive for my taste, to the point where I probably wouldn't come here every day for lunch. But it's not like paying $15 for an awesome sandwich is something I'm upset about.
Atmosphere: You can feel that these guys have been here for a long time. Everyone is super nice, customers and staff alike. This place is in the middle of a dang neighborhood like you know it's going to be good.
I've brought at least 8 different people here and they all loved...
Read moreI'll start by saying, I was a customer and fan at the original Catonsville location in the 90s/2000s I had my very first white pizza from there & always compared every white pizza since to theirs! Needless to say, I was extremely excited when they opened their second location on Falls Rd. I've been to Falls Rd twice now. Both times the service was prompt and friendly. Unfortunately, the white pizza did not live up to my memories. The first time there I chalked it up to them not being open for too long & probably still trying to figure out the new equipment, training new chefs/cooks, etc... all the things that come with opening a new location. The pizza was slightly undercooked & not well seasoned. We had to add salt to bring out whatever flavor was there. Learning from our initial visit, we asked for the pizza to be well done. Well that was a mistake. It was overcooked, nearly burnt, and way over seasoned. It was heavy on the oregano and the salt was equivalent to a lick. Unfortunately, while our server was pleasant, they never checked in with us after they set the pizza on our table. Another thing to note is other guests received bread & oil once they were seated but we did not. On our way out we (again) bought the black bottoms & those...
Read moreScittino’s has charm and great staff but this was not a home run meal for me..
I ordered the 12” pizza with sausage , the chicken tender combo and fried dough .
When I called to place my ordered I was very pleased with the service. the gentleman that took my order was very kind , as was my delivery man who was extremely polite.
The pizza was fantastic , delicious and piping hot when it arrived . However my chicken tender combo was over cooked and I could taste from the rock hard fries that the grease hadn’t been changed recently. Lastly came what was intended to be my sweet treat, the fried dough.
More like fried play doh , this “fried dough” had absolutely no flavor it tasted like I was biting into cooked pieces of paper towel super bland not even a hint of sweetness or flavor .. the description on the menu says the dough is sprinkled with powdered sugar ... I could literally count the specks of sugar on my dough that’s how lightly it was “sprinkled”
While I was disappointed I have to say that all and all the service and good pizza , may be the only reason that if I’m ever in the area that I would stop for a slice. I hope they work on providing a more flavorful and consistent finished products when it comes to the other items...
