Bummer, went to TZ for a treat and upon arrival there were two windows open. I waited one lane which had a lady in rainbow shirt. On the other window there was a dad and son who were ready and just waiting to check out and behind them there was a gentleman whose been waiting next. When the lady was ready to take the next in her line (us), I told my son to let the gentleman who was waiting to go ahead of us, he was at TZ before we did…it was a learning opportunity to my son. Just to realize, the window with the dad and son was having problem the credit card reader, the young man on the window had to go to the lady in rainbow shirt for her pad. Ok, once the issue is solved the dad and son are gone and it’s my turn to get the treat for my son…now the young man is gone and I am standing waiting, lady in rainbow shirt still with the gentleman we gave way, now both windows call for next. I am using cc to pay, in my mind made sense to the one window the credit card machine is working…THIS WHERE IT GETS BAD, she asked me why did I go to her and not to the young man. I say because I am paying with CC, she says “now I (lady in rainbow shirt) have to take the next customers, because I did not go to the you man’s window”. SHE NEVER MENTION THE WAIT TIME AND ACKNOWLEDGE WE WERE THERE FOR THEIR BUSINESS, no apologies, which I understand computers can be frustrating once in a while. We’ve been going TZ every Friday after school with the carpool kids. The stuff you have is LEGIT AND GOOD, the afternoon crew awesome. Fortunately tonight I HAD ANOTHER CHOICE JUST down the road and the best treat of all my sons words “dad I am glad we came to (cOmPEtEtor’S name). I know everyone has a bad day and today it think I luck out in customer service experience at TZ. I just scrolled down to check other reviews because I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt…now I am wondering if that maybe the...
Read moreFound this place based upon recommendations. It a quaint place. Has some outdoor seating. Looks like a small family owned business. Polite people they have a plethora of snowcone and ice cream desserts, including those decked out super milkshakes with the dipped rims and giant pieces of desserts stuck on top. It's pretty obvious they are combating the main chain competition by offering what they have ( Diary Queens blizzards and dipped cones and Rita's snow cones and ice cream slushy mixes) However, this place beats the competition in 2 places 1. Size: they make some pretty big snow and ice cream cones. 2. Taste: they have more flavors than Rita's . Must have been 30 or more and they are all available at the same time. I had a large mango/peach. It was delicious!! The texture was very nice. Not as grainy as a traditional Baltimore snoball. Also in ice creams variety and toppings. They have a huge selection altogether. I'm curious to try that...
Read moreIf I could give negative stars I would. Been coming to Tastee Zone for over 10yrs. For the most part it has been great. But, now that has now officially changed. I will longer visit this place. If you read other reviews, they mention " older lady" and her negative attitude. If you look even further back ( 3 yrs ago), reviews state same thing. At what point will someone decide to do something about this behavior? When with her attitude get better? For past few months we have frequent TZ because Orange ice cream is back. Our 11 yr old Daughter LOVES it and so do we. As a parent we can learn how to blow off negative attitudes, poor customer service and so on. BUT, when your child asks a very simple question and this "older lady" answer her with a smartass, sarcastic, rude response. UNACCEPTABLE!!!! No child should be talked down to. Hopefully, if anyone experiences this poor service will put a review...
