Waffle House — Restaurant in Cayce

Let me tell you about this waitress. Lord, I understood the fact that she was tired and tried to accommodate her accordingly but let me tell you.... This lady was just down right poorly in her service while we were at the table eating breakfast and then this lady adds our ticket up wrong. So everybody who eats Waffle House knows that the food totals on the ticket will surprise you sometime when you were thinking of budgeting your meal but anyways, so the lady adds our ticket up $2 above what the correct addition would have totaled so politely I try to show her the err of her ways but Oh hell no she wasn't having that... she proceeded to retotal the ticket, admit that her math was wrong, but that mine wasn't right either added the 9% sales tax twice again and rudely told me to pay my bill. I looked to the cook for assistance but he was having nothing to do with none of that situation. So to save confrontation I paid the lady and went to the bathroom before I left. My company then heard the waitress saying she was gonna call the police because I didn't pay my ticket and a big confusion ensued because my friends didn't see me leave the restaurant. Anyways, the experience completely ruined my mood for the mourning and basically turned me off from Waffle House for awhile especially on Airport Blvd next door to the Circle K. Wednesday around 1am I had left work early and took an Uber to this particular Waffle House. I live In south congaree and could have went to the other one but my friends suggested this was the best and it usually is. But When I pulled up a man was walking out with food and the cook proceeded to tell me they were closed and They had no waitress. I told him I didn’t need a waitress just a cook. I was upset because I usually stop there around 5am when I usually get off work and they are always open. It was two employees one washing dishes and the cook. My Uber driver was also complaining about making the stop even though I pay and tip good. I was starving and didn’t want to have to cook that late. After going back and forth I told him I come here all the time and was disappointed in the service. He agreed to take me but threw my order together. I tipped because I always do. Got home and my steak was well done and hard, I asked for medium temp. My eggs were extremely salty. I just threw the whole plate away. They were in such a rush to smoke and leave me unsatisfied in the process. NEVER AGAIN will I go if it’s just them two. If the waitress was present the cook would have never tried that mess.They made me feel as if I was wrong for asking them to do their job. It’s ok to smoke and take a break but also...

We just left the Irmo location because of the horrible presentation and situation that was unraveling in front of us. Also the location was just nasty. We came here and we did have a good experience and the food was decent and quick. It was empty so I'm not sure how the service would be if it was full or had more customers however, the bathroom had been cleaned and we don't usually use public restrooms. There was no soap so they may want to be aware to keep the soap dispenser full. Especially with what's happening around our country currently. (Pandemic) I wish I would have remembered the waitress's name. She was an older lady but she was very pleasant. Had a good conversation and said goodbye to us when we left. Also a younger waitress came and brought me my change which shocked me. My daughter had brought up the check and the payment. However, she needed to use the restroom and so I was about to go retrieve my change and the young lady, who was not our waitress, brought it to me. I thought that was really really nice of her.
