Okay, where do I start? My family ( my mother, my fiance, and myself) all moved here for a temporary housing situation because we were looking at the mobile homes right down the street. The first thing we did was check it out before paying any money whatsoever. It looked nice and quiet from the looks of it. Boy, were we wrong!! The lady let us look at the room and we confirmed with her that the location accepted pets. We came with 3 cats and she did let us know that yes, pets stay free. We decided we were going to stay there and moved in fully. First thing right off the bat we noticed, the bathroom was disgusting and the paint was peeling off of the bathtub. Second thing, the ceiling had two huge bubbles of what I’m assuming were water. There was also some kind of mildew or mold. All of that, we still did not mind staying. We payed 450.00 to stay there. The residents were nice the first few weeks. However, after a while a lot of drama started happening. There was drug activity, physical fights, loud altercations outside between couples, and the owners never seemed to do anything about it. One thing my family hated was that there was a maintenance guy and his girlfriend who worked for Red Roof Inn. It was pretty obvious he wasn’t professional and seemed to be on some sort of drug. While we were there, my cat had 2 unexpected litters of kittens at different times. We planned on rehoming them all once they turned 8 weeks old. We get a knock on our door and it’s the maintenance man and one of the owners relatives. I open the door and they say they had a report that I had 15 cats, first off, I did not have 15 cats. I had 10 only because of the latest litter we had that was once again unexpected. Second off, I had rehomed the litter of kittens who were old enough to be rehomed and was waiting for the next litter of kittens to turn old enough as they were only 2 weeks old. I then went to the owner and explained that I would be rehoming them once it was legal to do so when they turn 8 weeks old. I was aware that this put us over the limit due to the pet policy which is why I went and explained the situation. I would like to say that the owner was understanding ( or so I thought). He explained to me that he would give me time to rehome them because once again it was illegal to rehome before they turned 8 weeks old. He said that it was no problem and that he was not going to kick us out and said not to worry. Things went fine for that week and then next week comes and my mother tries to go and pay rent. He then says yeah you have to check out or you have to pay 1,000$ a week because you have the neonatal kittens. I said mark us for checking out because if you think that we have 1,000$ a week, why would we be here? What bothered me though is that he knew the day he told me everything was fine that they were going to force us to check out and failed to tell me that until the day we were supposed to pay the rent for the week. It was 10:00 am when he told my mother that and said we only had until 12. Mind you, he knew for days now! Then, he claims that somebody called corporate and that he couldn’t do anything about it and he even told us who called corporate. Wanna guess? The maintenance guy. Well we check out and we actually were very respectful and tried to check out as fast as we could. He then says we can pay a late fee of $25 and that would get us until 5 pm. We payed it and we moved somewhere far better. What bothers me though the most is we couldn’t find somewhere who would take pets in that much of a short time. We had to surrender neonatal kittens and mama to animal shelter as well as our personal pets. If he would have told us the week before, we could have arranged something but he told us the day of. I’m sorry, but Red Roof Inn needs to really get some work done especially with their employees. Do yall not believe in drug testing or do you just not know who your management is actually hiring? I’m sorry but the guy told my mother and I that it was corporates decision to charge us 1,000 a week. That’s...
Read moreI stay there 4 different times. The last two times they put me in a room that the roof leak. Room 204 leak all night to room 104. The one I was in. They would not give a discount. Plus he put me in that same room again and lied and said that there was no leaking. It leaked even more I had to use two containers that I had to catch the water cuz I woke up just some alarm going off 11:11pm. I saw a big puddle of water. On my floor
I think they finally had to move the people out from upstairs, they should have never even rented that one out. If they were going to do, that then they should have just put fans up there. Take the bad air conditioner out. But they just let both, dry out and then they rent it again.
All the rooms smell like cigarettes and a old smell which is probably mold. And those were the so-called deluxe room. The only thing different was a hair dryer and a iron and boarded.
That guy that runs things, is always there. But this time when I went there there was a woman there for the first time. He's usually out there checking on things and greeting customers, this time nothing. He knows that he messed up big time. This was a easy fix. I thought he was a stand-up guy. You can't get your name back once you lose it; this is not good business.
When you have someone stay that many times and who need it to stay there for a little bit longer cuz it was convenient to my job and until my home was finished. let me have $10 off....wouldn't go to hurt anything especially. When I kept the room clean. I didn't ask for anything in the room as far as service. I cleaned the water up. And clean the room.
I mean the only good thing was that they had coffee packets and cups in the room. Two notch Rd, Red Roof Inn does Not.
Neither one of them have a continental breakfast. They do Not give you a receipt like other hotels, I've stayed in.
They have their lobby closed off, and it's already hard to understand anyway and it's just this glass. So there's no real interaction with your customers like at other places. $380 week at airport Blvd $460 a week at Two notch. You should get something.
The good thing about all of them; they don't give you a hassle about pets. The one at two notches, is clean and doesn't have the mold like the one at the airport...
Read moreThis place is absolutely insane. Army booked me this motel while at a training on Fort Jackson and I encourage all service members to push to not stay here if this is booked for them. Firstly, the rooms are disgusting. Despite being in a non smoking room the room smelt heavily of cigarette smoke and had burn holes in the bed sheets and shower curtain. Also there is mold somewhere in the room but I couldn’t locate it. The walls are covered in dry liquids of various colors and I don’t even want to speculate what they are. That’s just the inside. Outside the room there are homeless people and drugs everywhere. People will actively be tweaking outside the hotel and one day last week someone had passed out on the second floor after peeing on themselves. A group of girls who were actively on meth were breaking into cars in the parking lot and a man on the first floor sales drugs out of his trunk to residents of the motel. There have been numerous fights between couples since I’ve been here, one resulting in the woman being body slammed. At first it was unnerving to even be outside of my room but after the first few days I found myself standing on the 2nd floor balcony to watch the chaos. Place should be shut down. Hotel shouldn’t be an option for...
