Fancy's — Restaurant in Cedar Rapids

Gotta be straight with you this place is not good.

The pizza itself is alright. Tried it twice. First time, it was seriously burnt, like beyond crispy. Toppings were good, but the pizza was almost not worth eating.

Second time was at a friend's party, and it was just okay – not burnt, but nothing special. Can't figure out why some folks rave about it.

And here's the kicker – this place is hardly ever open. Only Sundays, and even then, they're picky about how you order. You've gotta go through Instagram like you're a teenager glued to their phone. Feels more like a joke than a real business.

Fancy's is the best pizza I've had in CR, hands down. I got the sausage, mushroom, and pesto this past Sunday which was my first visit and man did it DELIVER. The toppings were incredibly high quality, and the crust was the perfect NY-style of crispy and chewy. Also, this 18" pizza will easily feed four hungry guys watching Sunday football; I tested it for you.

Right now they're a pop up and the best way to score a pie is to follow them on Instagram and message them when they're selling. They also have a deep dish which I can't wait to try. Don't miss out on this...
