Hacienda Las Glorias — Restaurant in Cedar Rapids

I ordered door dash to Hacienda. I called the restaurant to let them know I wanted queso and chips which was not on door dash menu. The manager said fine just order this different item and price is about the same and put special instructions in the by line of what I want. Ok, I did this and called her back and said exactly what I did as a reminder and she said ok. When we received door dash order we did not get one entree (chicken burrito) and received two of the items that I didn’t want that had the special instructions for 2 queso and chips. I called back and she (manager) had left restaurant and no one else could handle this complicated issue. Really? Just send me my burrito, queso and chips. So after three phone calls to restaurant still no dinner for me tonight so they get a 1 star today. I understand screw ups but to not get close after two calls and to not have any remedy is frustrating enough to spend a few minutes...

They’ll ignore you all night. You won’t even know they know English very well actually lol. They told me my order would be ready at 7:19, wasn’t ready until 8pm. If you want to wait 45-50 minutes for your food this is the spot. If you want to watch all the workers eat and be on there phones while your waiting for your food this is the spot. If you want them to not communicate with you on how long it’ll be for your order this is the spot. Continuously asked how much longer on the order and they look down and on they phones and keep eating. Ignored. They are rude as hell and will never go back. They do not care about costumers only themselves. They don’t care what you have going on because it doesn’t affect them. If there kitchen is that slow to not keep up with the times of the order so ready, then they shouldn’t be there. Someone needs to manage this place and teach them communication and...

Went here at the end of January and should have trusted the recent reviews. Had to wait a couple minutes for the one server to bring the menus after seated. There were three people at the bar & two other tables. With one server seemingly running the bar and also in charge of each table. We received chips and salsa. The chips were stale, first one I had left a bad taste in my mouth. We ordered tacos, rice & a vegetarian meal. The rice came out overly cooked. The tacos seemed okay, but was quite disappointed by the plates the food was served on; with big chips missing from one particularly. The queso was okay, and did like that it was not actually iceberg lettuce.

Would have to take a huge improvement in the whole restaurant to want to go back. The vibe was depressing and run down. I love hole in the walls, but this was not it. There are many other Mexican spots nearby, and will not be back...
