I have heard about LP Street foods so many times. It started with my wife showing me pics of igloos for a unique experience they were offering. Today we were close by and decided to try it out.
Customer service
We were greeted and seated pretty quickly. Our waiter checked in with us in a couple of minutes and advised us on her favorites. Thus one of the reasons I ordered the Gyro.
Location setting feel
The location has a good bit of parking in the front, street, and backside of the establishment. When you look out from the front, you can see they have a pretty large patio where they offer some of the menu items and have specific times they start serving food. Dogs are welcome on the patio :)!
LP Street Foods is a bit of a louder location; we thought it perfect for having the kids along :).
Food
I love that they make different types of foods from all over the globe, and it seems they do a pretty darn good job.
Chimichurri steak and grits This dish was pretty good when it comes to taste; the steak was ordered medium rare and came out that way but was quite chewy (hoping and thinking that was a one-off, the meat quality looked great).
Gyro I loved the Gyro, and I think next time, I will ask for a side of the tzatziki sauce. The meat itself comes directly from a fresh cone they have in the back and was terrific!
Chicago Dog It was a quality hot dog. It was HUGE, really was a foot long; the boys split that, and it was served with two buns due to length, so that worked out perfectly.
Ramen I like the dish's flavor and the overall taste of the Ramen. The broth is served on the side, so you can mix as you please.
Poutine Everyone loved this, and all decided when we come back again, we will order it as a starter for sure.
Fun Facts.
•LP = Local Pour •Hotsauces - They have four different hot sauces that you can ask for that they make themselves! •Gyro Cone - They have a fresh Gyro Cone in the back, thus the amazing gyro meat. •Vegan options. •Vegatarin options.
The wife and I decided to add this location to one we will come back to again and try out new dishes :).

Read moreI have been to the LP several times. Most recently, Sunday Brunch with my family. The food was good; the 6 & 9 year-olds loved their birthday pancakes, and efforts were made to accommodate a dairy allergy. The atmosphere is clean & nice, the noise level was not annoying, the seating options were good. As for accessibility: The women's restroom is not accessible (even given remodeling long after ADA laws require updates for accessibility is mandated). There IS an accessible RR outside in the snack bldg, but that is not posted anywhere near the inside inaccessible RR for patrons to know about. The breakfast buffet is not offered on the patio area near the accessible RR, nor is there any indication on the patio or anywhere by the entrance that an HC RR is available out there. Also, short ramps for the igloos just off the patio could be easily constructed or purchased for a reasonable price. There is one HC parking space near the very nice ramp to the front door. The lines are such to accommodate exit from most any vehicle, except vans equipped with a ramp could not deploy & space is very limited for an electric chair to then exit off the ramp. I mean not to sound angry, but to educate the management that they are not complying with the Federal ADA laws initiated in 1990, and to let those with disabilities to determine for themselves if they want to bother to ask someone to unlock the door to the accessible restroom in the building outside--at least during Sunday brunches. It may depend on how...
Read moreI’ve been here three times for dinner now, all with coworkers, but I can’t wait to bring my partner here!
For entrees, I’ve had the Pork Belly Ramen twice, and the Cajun Pasta once. I’ve eaten probably half of the appetizers on the menu since my coworkers and I tend to arrive in a big group.
The place is decorated super cool, haven’t been to the bar yet, I hear the cocktails are great though, they’re always playing good music, portion sizes are great, and my vegan coworker was enthusiastic about his options here.
You CANNOT go wrong with the giant Everything Pretzel appetizer, holy sh*t I love it so much. Careful, it’s addicting, but it’ll fill you up quick. I tried poutine for the first time here and the appetizer wasn’t my favorite, but it was still good.
The ramen entree has a few meat options but I’ve gone with the pork belly each time so far and regret NOTHING. It’ll arrive with all the dry stuff in the bowl, and the liquid base in a little mason jar. I like to separate a few of the vegetables before pouring my base in, and then add them back in later when there’s more space in the bowl. Super tasty, some might desire a tad more salt.
The Cajun pasta has been my only disappointment at this restaurant and I hate to be so frank, but it was seriously lacking flavor of any kind. Cooked to perfection, seasoned like water.
I’ll keep coming back and hopefully update this review with more photos overtime. Great environment,...
