Tender Smokehouse — Restaurant in Celina

Amazing experience. I went in Friday for a lunch meeting and I admit I was feeling a bit sluggish. I tried to order a breakfast taco, but was denied. Cassie had the courage to tell me that it was 2PM and that I needed to square myself away ASAP and actually become present enough to seize the day. I hesitated and she threw a drink cup at me. This was the tough love I needed today. The challenge prompted me to order a 3 meat plate just to show her and the world that I did indeed have what it takes to win. I consumed the brisket, ribs, and jalapeño sausage like a proper apex predator. Almost immediately, I started to find my groove. I knew exactly what my pronouns were! My testosterone swelled so much that I could publicly confess, without any shame, that the Pineapple slaw was extraordinarily light and refreshing. No matter how commifornia it might seem to say, the slaw was itself a delightful palate cleanser and a highlight of the meal. Fueled with this exquisite combination of flavors and textures, I found myself buoyed with enthusiasm and innovation. I truly dazzled and crushed my business meeting. No doubt marveling over her handiwork, Cassie offered me a Banana Pudding so mind numbing, I felt like A.O.C.. It was so good that I slurred my words like Nancy Pelosi. But, unlike Joe Biden I was able to remembered where I was and what I should be doing. I focused on inhaling every last bit like Creepy Joe smelling the hair of a pre-teen girl. I sincerely wish I was a democrat so that I could come back every day but get other hard working people to pay for it. In exchange, I would use my leftist connections to turn this single review into 10 million while everyone is asleep. One this is for sure, if we let her, Cassie would Make America...

The Tender Smokehouse is a wonderful old and rustic local attraction in the midst of downtown Celina. The place has a wonderful old small town vibe and is decorated accordingly. Everyone is extremely friendly and all the regulars are on a first name basis with all the staff. They treat newcomers just as well as the regular customers I might add. All their staff is super polite and everyone we talked to was upbeat, outgoing and down home friendly. We sampled their giant loaded Texas Baked potato I had mine with 1/2 Brisket and 1/2 pulled pork. It was unfathomablely delicious. Object mouthwatering comfort food. The potato was the biggest id ever seen. The pulled pork part was really, really good but the Brisket part stole the show. I will be back earlier in the day next time to try their Sledgehammer Sandwich. My wife suggested we pop in there for dinner tonight for a quick bite which we were effortlessly seated at the bar top and had our order in under 5 minutes. Very glad I tried it was delicious. I will make this my favorite place to eat when I am in the area for certain. Definitely puts some higher end and more advertised establishments to shame. Their was also some nice souvenir items avaliable including their housemade famous meat rubs and BBQ sauce, and a selection of logo T shirts and hats. Great Job Tender Smokehouse Will...

That was some of the best barbecue I’ve had in the greater Dallas area!

We ordered at the restaurant right when we got there, and we were taking the food back for a ten person coworker event.

You can smell the smoke and sweetness right when you park in the area. The restaurant is located in downtown Celina, and it is a quaint and really cool area. There is outdoor seating for the restaurant, as well as indoor.

We had ordered 3 pounds of the brisket, 1 quart of the Mac and cheese and 1 quart of the pineapple slaw. We also got a ton of roasts on the side, and barbecue sauce. For ten people, it was more than enough and we had several people able to get second servings. I was hesitant about getting the pineapple, initially thinking that it would have chunks of pineapple or be too sweet, however it was very good. It had a subtle sweetness to it, but more than anything it tasted fresh! The Mac and cheese was perfect, and the brisket literally melted in your mouth. Many people had recommended this restaurant to me, and I know why now. The service was also fantastic, they took the time to answer our questions and helped us make selections since it was our first time.
