Bahama Buck’s – Centennial, CO: A Tropical Escape in a Cup

If you’re looking for a mini vacation without leaving Centennial, Bahama Buck’s is your ticket to paradise. From the moment you walk in, the bright, beachy vibes transport you straight to a Caribbean island—flip-flops optional, smiles guaranteed.

The real star of the show? The shaved ice. This isn’t your average sno-cone—it’s like eating a cloud infused with flavor. With over 100 options to choose from (including sugar-free!), you can go wild with tropical favorites like Tiger’s Blood or Pina Colada, or get creative with mix-and-match combos. Pro tip: add the sweet cream drizzle or a scoop of Tropic Creme for the ultimate indulgence.

What sets this location apart is the top-tier customer service. The team is always upbeat, helpful, and genuinely excited to help you find your new favorite flavor. They’re fast, too—perfect for a quick cool-down on a hot Colorado day.

And let’s not forget the other goodies: smoothies, acai bowls, lemonades, and frosty lattes all deliver on flavor and freshness. The indoor and patio seating makes it a great place to chill with friends or treat the kids after a game.

Whether you’re escaping the summer heat or just craving something sweet, Bahama Buck’s in Centennial is the place to be. Five stars, no question. You’ll leave happier (and colder) than when...

The shaved ice is yummy and staff is friendly. That’s what got them the third star. While I was waiting for my shaved ice with my group. I watched a flavor bottle fall on the floor and an employee named Max (in a camo shirt that day) picked it up and put it back on the counter for use. He might have rinsed it, not sure….but I would have gotten a completely new bottle. A little sink rinse isn’t gonna sanitize that bottle. I have managed a restaurant so I have studied for my serve safe. What he did is a health/safety violation and quite frankly disgusting. I almost said something in front of a lot of people but I didn’t because I didn’t wanna cause a scene. I should have though and feel bad I didn’t. Also, once the place was clear and it was only my group and the employees in the building, instead of cleaning all the nasty tables people left and messes on the floor they were playing games. Towel snapping cups to see how far they would go or how hard they could do it. Only good thing this place has going for them is the good flavors and friendly attitudes. Other than that…. I probably won’t come back just because of the...

I was born in Hawaii and lived there until I was 6. I had a strong memory of shaved ice and I could never find anything that felt quite right on the mainland once we moved.

When I had Bahama Buck's for the first time I was near tears. The texture I'd remembered from my childhood, silky smooth ice that absorbs the flavoring so well it lasts to the bottom of the cup, was there. You know that scene in Ratatouille where the critic eats something that immediately transports him back to his childhood? Yeah, it was like that. Whatever machine the chain uses to shave their ice is the real deal.

I recently had a chance to go back to Hawaii for a friend's wedding and made sure to hit up Matsumoto's, THE place for shaved ice in Oahu, and I can now definitely confirm that Bahama Buck's is really authentic to what you'd get in Hawaii. I think I even prefer the syrup Bahama Buck's uses!

On top of the authenticity the number of flavors available is huge and the service is great. There's also other options like smoothies and custom soda if you don't want shaved ice for some weird reason.

I can't recommend...

We really love Bahama Bucks back home in Dallas, so we were happy to see that there was a location here in Denver while we were on Vacation in the area. After walking in, we were greeted by the cashier. We ordered the Pina Colada Breeze, Bomb Pop, and Mangonada Sno’s. Both of my kids really enjoyed their Sno’s, however, my Mangonada Sno was extremely overpowering after about 5-6 spoonful’s. It was extremely salty and there was more chili salt flavoring than there was Mango. I absolutely couldn’t eat any more of it. My daughter really loves salty treats, so I had her taste it, and she confirmed that it tasted like pure salt. It was unfortunate, because I had to toss out more than half of my Sno because of over-seasoning. The Mangonada might be tasty if prepared correctly, but I’d never order it again after this experience. The store was clean, and the staff was ok. I do recommend this Bahama Bucks location, just not the Mangonada Sno.

Amazing shaved ice! Will have to be back for smoothies. Ethan was amazing and made the whole experience. He was attentive to us entering, making suggestions, and even came to check on us after. The shaved ice was perfect and almost didn't clump at all. The flavoring was done perfectly and penetrated the whole large. (There are two larger sizes, but I could barely finish what I got) the root beer flavor was delicious and didn't taste like a fake root beer candy. Not a huge fan of the blue coconut, it was just too fake tasting. The spoons are color changing and is quite the fun Easter egg! Thanks for such a great summer snack!
