Like others have mentioned in prior reviews, I ordered dinner last night and ordered a dish of chow mein for myself. I received a dish of watery veggies and chicken, with a side of wonton strips. I called after that trying to mediate the order, and was told that was chow mein and like another review mentioned, they kept trying to tell me I was looking for lo mein instead. I called again today attempting to talk to someone else to mediate the issue and was told the same thing, and they would not cooperate on fixing my issue, not even the partial refund that I suggested. Wonton soup was also way too salty / MSGy for my taste. It's your typical sub-par quality Chinese restaurant what else can I say

Edit. We ordered on 05.31.24 and I’m here to change my 2 stars to 5 stars. I’m not sure what happened, but Cafe Ambrosia is back on the winning team. It’s hard to find a sizzling rice soup anywhere, but Cafe Ambrosia has the best. The chicken and vegetables is also good. I’m not sure if they have new owners but it’s nowhere as good as it was a few years ago. We’ve ordered three times in the past year and the food is nothing like it used to be. Nothing has flavor, there’s less meat in items, the fried rice is almost a black color, crab wontons are soggy, tofu is slimy, no free goodies thrown in with a $50+ order (we can live with that) and everything is just off and wrong.

Came in for a nice Friday meal. The wonton soup had a flavorful broth and the wontons were made with a thin noodle wrapper which I loved. So much better than the thicker skin wrappers. We ordered the pao pao platter to try multiple appetizers. All of it good. We had the Cantonese Pan Fried Noodles with pork and the Sesame Chicken. Both sauces had great flavor. Will definitely come again.

The Hot & Sour Soup is still my favorite thing! Everything else is fine. I'm over the Crab Wontons. They aren't quite worth the cost. Skip unless you're looking for a filler.

I gotta try the spicier food. The mild menu is fine, but not great. (Just got Denver Ramen, so kinda biased). It's still good for Aurora, just not awesome in general. It is very generic for people who haven't had authentic Asian food.

My previous review stands:

The food is flavorful and plenty! My almost 2 year old LOVES the Chicken w/Brocolli and their Hot & Sour Soup is a must for me! Do I wish the Crab Cheese Wontons were a bit "thicker"? Yes, but still delicious and we order them everytime. Delivery is spot on; timely, hot, and accurate.

If anything, I wish they'd offer 1/2 portions: 1 combo meal feeds myself, my 70yr mother and my 2yr. If I could order 1/2 a "mild" meal + 1/2 a spicy one for me, we'd order way more often.

The "milder" meals are flavorful and I enjoy them, but I'd love to try out the Pad Thai or other spicy meals, but doubling the cost (plus leftovers) for just me, isn't reasonable. I still get my...

This used to be our favorite place to get Chinese food. We moved for a few years and just came back, and we were so excited to get a great dinner from here.

I honestly cannot find a good thing to say about it other than the sweet and sour sauce was good. Their portions have shrunk (especially their rice), the chicken was undercooked and must have been sitting under some fish because the taste was WAY off. The egg rolls were second to store to bought, frozen egg rolls.

Honestly, I would just assume pay more for the same quality food as before instead of them cutting corners with lower quality food. After eating here for so many years, I hate to just quit going but their excuses and indifference over our call to find missing food was enough. I hope they fix their issues, but we will be...

Great lunch, fresh tasting, quick, good portion and price. Restaurant was clean, warm enough, smelled okay. Service was quick and friendly. Will be back!

Egg drop soup was well seasoned, hot and tasty. Egg roll was small and all cabbage, but good and crispy. Cheese wonton was okay, no crab(or krab) detected though (typical around here, wish someone would make these right). Sweet/sour red sauce dip was cold but whatever. Tso chicken ordered 'spicy' was hot and crispy, good flavor and consistency and not over breaded or greasy. Not as spicy as I hoped for but very decent. A few carrot and broccoli veg was a very welcome addition! Fried rice was pretty neutral and okay, no veggies and maybe a speck of egg. Alright as a neutral canvas to soak up the...
