If you haven’t tried Slim Chickens yet, I have to ask...why not??? Do you enjoy quality food for an affordable price? Do you appreciate kindness from every single person you encounter at an establishment? If so, then head over and check out what Slim Chickens has to offer!

We had the privilege of attending the soft opening for the newest Slim Chickens location in Centennial. Let’s start with some basics. It was really easy to find. Plus easy in and easy out of the parking lot. They have a drive-thru!! This was very exciting to see as sometimes you just get a hankering for some chicken tenders or wings and don’t feel like getting all gussied up...enter Operation Drive-Thru Slim Chickens.

When we arrived, we immediately noticed how welcoming everyone was to each & every person who came through that door. Obviously some real time training was ongoing, but the excitement felt genuine. Jodi was the friendly trainer. She was helpful at the register and checked on us while we were eating. Sam was learning the register and he worked hard to be quick and accurate. He also circled by the table later on and made us feel right at home. Finally, Jacob was a younger gentleman who knew the ropes inside & out and had the customer service thing down. We were impressed enough that we took note of their names so we could make sure to extend our gratitude for such a pleasant experience.

This was our first time checking out one of their brick & mortar locations. We follow their food truck around town though so we hoped to taste that familiar tasty, juicy chicken. Slim Chickens delivered!! We tried the chicken and waffles, a tender and wing combo as well as straight up tenders with fries. Everything was cooked perfectly, served hot and arrived as ordered. The waffle was that perfect golden brown most places strive for, but don’t often quite hit. Each piece of chicken was loaded with flavor and so juicy. We noticed the dipping sauce options seemed more extensive in-store which was a nice surprise. Everything was immaculate. Yes, they’re brand new and it should be clean, but they really seemed to be on top of keeping it that way.

The space is broken into two distinct rooms divided by a large glass wall. I wonder if they host private parties in the farther space. It looks like the perfect setup. Speaking of which, the decor was very appealing. I loved the various lighting choices.

I saved something silly for last, but two of the three of us commented on the drink options. First of all, they serve Coke products (it looked like eight were available) and had real Cherry Coke. Someone at our table was very, very happy to have this option. I was more excited about the four brewed tea options and a lemonade nearby. They had sweet tea, peach tea, raspberry tea and unsweetened tea. I would highly suggest a half & half of the peach tea with the lemonade. It was the perfect combo.

Yes, we will still follow the truck. But for a cozier experience with a few more options that we loved, we will definitely work Slim Chickens in Centennial into our...

Updated Review. Brought my family here to eat.! Let me start by saying i love Slims.! But there are few things that happened to me yesterday that caused me to not have a good experience. First the bathrooms were dirty. My kiddo needed a high chair and they were filthy, I Order Our food I always get the Cayenne Ranch Sandwich this time i wanted in a wrap the young lady taking my order said I dont known if we can do that? I was puzzled because all i wanted to do was switch the bread out.? I ended up changing my mind because it didnt seem like she was gonna go ask anyone for help. I ordered the meal with a side salad. Took one bite and went to take another and the lettuce had dirt on it like it hadn't been washed during food took the salad back didnt get a im sorry just we cant take it back. Um okay .! Spent Almost bucks left unsatisfied. Also if your cooks in the back are sick they shouldn't be near food. Especially sneezing openly in the back were food is. Service was fast considering the long line at the drive through. Friendly staff. They forgot a meal in our order, so definitely check your bags.

Chicken is average. Nothing amazing compared to other local chicken spots. Just equally as good. Tender and juicy. Sauces are delicious. Fried pickles are delicious but way too salty. Mac n Cheese tastes like something I can make out of a box, so I wouldn’t order that again. Overall it’s a decent spot for the area and a way better option then burger king.

Edit: we’ve been here numerous times since they opened. Can I get some consistency?? Sometimes the food is really good and other times it’s nasty. Their coleslaw is really good, but the last time we got it it had a really weird taste. Half the time the wrap has so much lettuce that it’s all you can taste and see in the wrap. Fries are either too salty or not salty enough. ALWAYS check your order. EVERY single time I have been missing food. Either a side, sauces I’ve paid for, or a jar dessert.
