If you're craving a barbecue feast that goes above and beyond, City Barbecue is the place to be. I recently tried the beef brisket, St. Louis-cut ribs, smoked sausage, and cornbread pudding—and each bite was unforgettable. The brisket was tender and packed with that rich, smoky flavor only achieved through perfect, low-and-slow cooking. The St. Louis ribs were equally incredible, with a perfect balance of juiciness and that ideal fall-off-the-bone texture.

The smoked sausage had an excellent snap and spice, rounding the meal off with a little extra kick. And let's talk about the cornbread pudding—sweet, moist, and just the right amount of decadence. It's the kind of dessert that perfectly complements the savory flavors and rounds off the whole meal.

In addition to the fantastic food, the staff at City Barbecue made the experience even better. They were welcoming and friendly and went above and beyond to ensure everything was just right. Their professionalism and warmth made it feel like I was being served by friends who genuinely cared about my experience.

Generally I have no issues at City BBQ. This experience was very different. I ordered to go via the app, and it was ready when I got there, so the service was excellent! I ordered the Ribs and Chicken combo, which was ok. The ribs were slightly dry, even with sauce. The mac and cheese tasted good, but the noodles were undercooked. We also ordered the fried ribs, which was like eating jerky. They were so dry and tough, which is probably a casualty of being fried, so I’ll take that as a lesson learned. The part we love the most, the Peach Cobbler, was quite possibly the worst I’ve ever had. I must have gotten the last corner of the last pan because it was so hard and dry I literally had to cut it with a knife to even taste it. On top of it being hard and chewy, there were no peaches in it. I’m sure I’ll be back because we love City BBQ, but this was our first time at this location after moving to the area from NC, and I hope this isn’t foreshadowing the way it will...

We love City BBQ for many reasons, but this is our most recent experience that made us even bigger fans: Supportive and helpful employees answered two phone inquiries I made before placing an online order. The online ordering process was simple and easy. I was able to include each person’s name, so that it was easy to distribute food because the staff put each order in individual City BQQ bags with names clearly labeled on the bag. Food distribution was a cinch. (This was important to us because our get together was following social distance guidelines.) Each order was complete and correct. The food was delicious. We shared many laughs and have a precious memory of our family’s first socially distanced get together because the employees @City BBQ did their job well which set the tone for a positive and rewarding get together.
