Every once in a while, my wife and I venture out to find a new locally-owned establishment to enjoy some good food, warm conversation, and a light casual atmosphere. We found that and more today at Tuscany’s Pizzeria!! Tuscany’s is located on Franklin St, closer to Centerville High School. Off the main strip, this quaint establishment resides in a small strip mall near Clyo Rd. Walking in, you’re met with strings of lights in every direction and set of tables to accommodate parties of all sizes. We sat down in a simple booth for two in a quiet corner of the restaurant. The menu is fairly simple, with selections of Italian starters, pasta dishes, pizza and New York rolls. Not having a large menu to us is a good sign. If you’re going to take the time to do things right, the smaller the menu, the better. After perusing for a few minutes, we decided on two items to taste and share. 1) Eggplant Parmesan w/ pasta (spaghetti with meat sauce) 2) Pizza with Peeperoni, Sausage, and Green Pepper Let’s get to the good stuff… The pizza was thin and crispy, light and flavorful, and simply delicious. For those of you who like pizza that’s more bread, chewy from too much dough, and one that fills you up after one slice, this isn’t for you. If your hope is a pizza that lets the flavor of the cheese, sauce and toppings shine through, one that uses a thin crispy vehicle of delightful dough, then this is your winner. Costing about $25 for a 14-inch disc of delight, it’s more than enough for a few folks. The Eggplant Parmesan was a different experience altogether. Lightly fried and covered with a light tomato sauce and cheese, this meaty vegetable was a true treasure. The pasta was equally tasty resulting in a delightful combination. What made this place truly special was Susan, our host for the evening and the individual who arrives at 7AM daily to prep everything from scratch. From each cut of vegetables to ball of dough, spends each day making sure your experience is magical. We know from our first experience, we’ll be getting to know Susan quite a bit more in the future. Do yourself a favor and visit here soon!!

I've given Tuscany's in Centerville a couple of tries now, and I've been less than impressed on both visits. On my first visit, I ordered a cheese pizza, mozzarella sticks, and the Trio Delight pasta. When I arrived to pick up my order, it wasn't ready, so I had to sit around and wait for a bit. The cheese pizza was very forgettable. I was expecting an excellent wood fired char, and that's not what I got at all. I'm guessing they just use stock photos on their website, which sucks, because that pizza looks great! The pasta was okay. It was better after I reheated the leftovers in the oven. Second visit, I ordered the cheese pizza again, and the bruschetta appetizer. As I said before, the pizza was definitely forgettable. I quite literally forgot that I had even had it before, and I would not have ordered it again had I remembered. The bruschetta... LOADED in onions. I put the leftovers in my fridge, and my fridge and freezer still reek, and I've been breathing fire ever since I ate it. Too many onions, and not nearly enough basil. I would not get the bruschetta again. The pizza and pasta wasn't bad, but I wanted it to be SO much better. It's one of those places that I'm not going to write off completely, but I'm definitely not rushing back there. Just bummed because I wanted it to be better. 😕

I’ve been to this restaurant many times and every time i go there I’ll try something new. I found everything amazing and I thought of celebrating my birthday party there and then i spoke to the manager she was so humble and polite to me. I celebrated my birthday party there 22 people at Tuscany’s restaurant We ordered a huge amount of food which are calamari, bruschetta’s and Garlic rolls with marinara sauce as an appetizers.Chicken parm, veal parm, meat lovers calzone, baked ziti with meat sauce, shrimp Alfredo, trio delight, deluxe calzone, meat lovers pizza, Tuscany’s pizza and deluxe pizza as dinner and everything is on time and with the perfection. Their service was so good and for every 5-10 minutes they keep giving us the refills of the drinks. coming to the deserts I had the best lemoncello cake and the tiramisu which i never had this before anywhere they were so good. I had a great experience at Tuscany’s restaurant which is in centreville,Ohio

Service and experience at this establishment was absolutely Horrible! First, who ever heard of an Italian restaurant that can't make buttered pasta for a 6 year old ?? Seriously, you don't have butter and pasta on hand?

Moving past this ridiculousness, we ordered a pizza with 3 toppings on half and cheese on half, waitress said okay. Next the waitress returned and said, we can't put toppings on half. Seriously, you can add toppings for 3.00 each (listed on the menu) but you can't add them to half??? Seems as a business owner you'd be saving money only using half the ingredients, and giving the customer what they ordered. So, I kindly told her we didn't want the pizza and to just bring our bill for our drinks and salads. The waitress said she can't do that because the pizza is already in the oven with toppings on the whole pizza? Again, Seriously...you make a pizza not as ordered and expect the customer to just eat it with a 6 year old with food allergies. Again, the same 6 year old who can't get pasta noodles with butter in an Italian restaurant. Really!?

Next, the manager comes to the table and becomes overly defensive and kept asking if we had time to read the menu...Again, Seriously...Your menu says they have Ranch AND Italian salad dressing, but the waitress said they only have Italian? The menu says you can customize your pizza at 3.00 per topping, but you can't. The side salads were little with wilted lettuce for 6.00, and the ONLY dressing they had was awful.

Setting all of that aside, the manager was overly aggressive, defensive and used profanity in the presence of a child. That's where it all ended and showed us what this restaurant is about.

As a business owner you need to understand that customers are what keeps your doors open! Your goal should be to provide the perfect guest experience, making accommodations when necessary, and never becoming confrontational in the presence of children.

While it was our first time at this restaurant, I'm 100% sure I would never go back!!! Equally, I'll be sure to inform others in the community about this...

One of the worst dining experiences ever. We requested to have 1/2 Margherita pizza & half deluxe in the only size they have which is 14 inches. The price listed on the menu was $25 for the Margherita & $21 for the deluxe. The pizza took 25 mins to get to us & the place was almost empty. The pizza actually tasted better than average. When we received the bill it was $41 for one 14 inch pizza! We were not told that it was going to cost extra to split a pizza down the middle upfront. Most places don't charge more than the most expensive of the two pizzas when you split or at least let you know about any extra costs. I talked with the waitress & she got the owner, who said give them 15% off which was ridiculous too since they charged us the full amount for each topping of it would have covered the entire oizza. Then when I examined the bill the second time it was only 10% off. The waitress said the register would not allow her to take 15% off. I asked to talk to the manage/owner again & she was very unpleasant & said we are doing you a favor to split your pizza down the middle & we were told that was extra. I explained to her that no extra charges were communicated to us beforehand & it seems like she wanted to get in a debate with us, but it wasn't worth our time. Then she told us to give the waitress zero tip, but didn't even offer to make things right & acted like she was doing us a big favor since it's so much work to split a pizza down the middle. All of her competitors split pizzas down the middle for no more money than the most expensive version...so we will be not be coming here again. Owner was very rude. There is a good reason this place is almost empty at 7pm on a Friday night. Our experience eating here a few years ago was much better, but I'm assuming the place is under new ownership & will likely will go under soon IMO. People want good food, but also want to be treated with a little respect & hospitality. You can make better food at home and also go to another pizza place in Centerville & not get robbed &...
