Cafe Phoenicia - Central — Restaurant in Central

McDonald's! Ended up here for an unplanned dinner out. We wanted something different and both agreed upon Cafe Phoenicia.

My husband ordered the Gyro and Chicken Swarma combo which also included a Greek Salad, hummus, pita bread and rice.

I ordered the Gyro Dinner which came with the same sides as above.

Everything on each of our plates was cooked to perfection. I had enough leftovers to bring home for a nice lunch the next day.

The dining room is nice and spacious here and not crowded. You can carry on a conversation and be heard, unlike some other dining establishments in the area. Staff and waitresses are very knowledgeable about the menu and quick to catch refilling your drinks.

I ordered from Waiter I got the chicken shwarma lunch wrap with salad and humus the meal was very good and everything tasted great. Our problem is that we paid 10.95 for an order of spinach artichoke dip for my 3 kids and the container was not even half full! Supposedly they serve a specific measured amount and its just in a bigger container than they use in the restaurant. This is a rip off over, charging for this little amount. Apps are meant to be shared there is not enough to be shared between kids much less adults. If you can get to Romans's (either location) go there. Enjoyed my falafel wrap. The wrap comes with house-made hummus and a salad with house-made dressing on the side, both excellent. The Lebanese-style iced tea is a refreshing change from the standard iced tea. Nice atmosphere and good service.

Nov 2023: Four years after visiting this restaurant for the first time from out of town, I was back in town and ate dinner here. I ordered the Veggie Phoenicia mixed plate with a cup of lentil soup as an appetizer. It was all delicious. I ordered pumpkin cheesecake for dessert and really enjoyed that as well.
