Locals Bar and Kitchen Central — Restaurant in Central

My wife and really enjoy going here. First, having a nice place to hangout with friends in Central is a huge plus and the live music schedule is great. Best of all is the staff. They are always extremely friendly and attentive but most of all honest. The other night I gave the bartender a $100 dollar bill but thought it was a $5. I walked away and she came and found me with my change. She could have easily pocketed that money and I would have never known until the next day. We went for dinner to try the place out for the first time. The waitress - who let us know immediately she worked for Locals (the bar part of the establishment) and wasn't use to the new menu of the place renting the kitchen. My husband was put off by her attitude when she told him to chill out she'd been there since 10:30 am. Super weird vibe in this place and from the staff. My husbands order was wrong, but there was no way we were staying any longer than we had to for them to take it back to fix it. The tamales - fantastic! I'll definitely order those...

If you are a woman id steer clear of here. The owner, Donald fry was aware of an assault situation. He handled it by insulting other women who showed concern. I don’t know how a woman could come here and feel safe. Especially if footage of said assault suddenly disappeared. There are safer gathering spots in the area who have acted on this information.
