Lit Pizza in Central is my go-to spot when I’m in the mood for fresh, customizable, thin-crust pizza. The atmosphere is lively, especially during sports seasons, and while it can get busy in the evenings, the efficient and friendly staff keeps the lines moving quickly.
The ingredients at Lit Pizza are always fresh and high-quality, which makes every bite fantastic. Whether you order one of their pre-designed craft pizzas or create your own, the options are endless. My usual choice is the Meatballin’—a delicious combo of meatballs, basil, and other tasty toppings. Even with a craft pizza, you can add unlimited toppings, so mine always ends up as a personalized Meat Lovers masterpiece, topped with fresh jalapeños for an extra kick.
The pizza crust is consistently perfect: thin and crispy on the edges, tender in the center. As a self-proclaimed cheese lover, I always pile on as much cheese as possible—extra mozzarella, Parmesan, and more cheese, please! Once the pizza is baked to perfection, I like to drizzle it with olive oil or add even more Parmesan. And let’s not forget the hot habanero honey! That sweet heat elevates the pizza to another level.
For drinks, they offer standard Coke products, but the standout is their specialty lemonade. The blood orange lemonade is my personal favorite—refreshing, flavorful, and the perfect pairing with pizza.
The staff is generally friendly and helpful, though I’ve noticed newer employees sometimes gatekeep the cheese (let me have my cheese!). Overall, they make the experience enjoyable, and the upbeat atmosphere ensures it’s always a pleasant visit.
If you’re in Central and looking for great pizza, Lit Pizza is the place to go. Fresh ingredients, endless customization, and a welcoming vibe.

Read moreI love Lit Pizza, however, this location needs training. I waited in person for over 40 minutes for a pizza. I understand it’s a new location and the workers have to fulfill in-person and online orders. The wait isn’t even the real problem. Some of the workers on the line acted as if they couldn’t be bothered with being there, and that was the main cause of the delay. The guy placing the sauce and the cheese was great, moving fast and in a good mood. The main problem was with two workers, a male and female who were in charge of placing toppings. They were moving snail slow all while talking and joking. Every minute of work doesn’t have to be all about work but with a line out of the door and a host of online orders you would think the goal is to get people out of the door. When I went to pay for my meal, my slip was out of order. I told the cashier my name and proceeded to tell her that the workers on the line were playing around. She blatantly ignored me and asked if I wanted a drink. I asked her if she heard me and she said “yes. I’m sorry” please train your employees. I had to get a manager and explain the situation to him and he didn’t even have a response. He did get on the line and help pizza get in and out of the oven faster but he never walked over to the employees at the beginning of the line to talk to them about playing around. A lot of people were there & I’m sure he didn’t want to embarrass them.To top it all off my pizza was not cut and I had to cut it at home.
In my opinion there should be two people solely doing online and two people solely doing in-person. Please have team training and meetings. I actually like the food so I will be back but hopefully management...
Read moreWe love lit pizza in Zachary, decided to try Central. I understand it’s a new location but it was total chaos. The place was not that busy when we arrived, yet there was no one at the beginning of the line to start our order. Once someone finally showed up they wrote our name on paper , applied a number tag and the line progressed at a slow pace. They kept getting phone orders and placed them in front of ours. They complete the order and place ours on a table to be put in the oven. This is when the next problem started. The person in charge of the oven was not putting orders in the oven in the order people came in He was just grabbing the first one he could reach, No order. Couples that came in together we’re getting there orders 10 minutes apart. People that arrived after us received there order before us and at the same time, people that were already sitting when we arrived got there orders as we were leaving. On top of that they were leaving in the oven too long and burning the first 3/4 of the crust edge. Going back to Lit Pizza in Zachary where they know how to...
