I didn’t initially plan to write a review for this restaurant, but after tasting the food, I felt compelled to share my experience. I'll evaluate this restaurant based on six factors: Quality of Food, Price, Ambience, Service, Location, and Parking. Let’s dive in:
Quality of Food I only ordered one meal—the Jollof Rice and Suya—and it was exceptional. Based on this dish alone, I would give the food 5 stars. If the quality of the Jollof Rice and Suya is indicative of their other offerings, then I imagine the rest of their menu is equally delicious, if not better. A few highlights: the food was served quickly, tasted fresh, and the Suya was particularly outstanding. I'm very discerning when it comes to Suya, and this restaurant did not disappoint. It's clear they know what they’re doing, and I can’t wait to try more from their menu.
Price The prices here are quite moderate, though I understand this can be subjective. Considering the quality and quantity of food, I find it reasonable. I ordered Jollof Rice, Plantains, Suya, and a bottle of Voss water, totaling around $35. For the experience and food quality, this is very reasonable in my opinion.
Ambience As you'll see in the pictures, the restaurant is cozy and nicely decorated. It's not a large establishment, but it can comfortably accommodate most parties. The atmosphere is inviting and pleasant.
Service The service was excellent. The lady who attended to me was respectful, polite, and prompt. My food arrived on time and tasted fresh. The staff’s professionalism added to the overall positive experience.
Location This restaurant is conveniently located on Buford Highway, directly opposite Ace Lounge and Living Room Lounge. They stay open until 3 AM on Fridays and Saturdays, making it a great spot for late-night dining after or before partying.
Parking Parking is free, with additional parking available across the street at the Ace and Living Room Parking Lot. However, parking can fill up quickly, especially on Saturdays, so it’s best to arrive before the clubgoers.
Overall I appreciate the coziness and personal touch of this place. The food is delicious, the prices are reasonable, and the overall experience is wonderful. I will definitely...
Read more2nd Update: THIS RESTAURANT IS REFUSING TO GIVE ME A REFUND ON THE ITEMS I DID NOT GET** I WISH I READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE WASTING MY TIME AND MONEY* NEVER AGAIN!!!! I ordered simple things but received a call they didn't have the soup I wanted and advised me they couldn't remove the goat meat from an alternative. They seemed impatient and so I settled for the suya hoping that would be OK-disaster! Make it worse the charge was for everything even what they didn't have. They should've updated their menu to show what wasn't available, should've but charged my card extra, should've accommodated my simple request to remove the meat, and given me better quality suya. I called the restaurant the next day and was happy I got someone who said he was the owner, but this was rude from the gate go, giving answers that I knew were not making sense and he just sounded outright not interested. I may be the one customer out of the million but I wish they knew word of mouth, even though seeming premetive, is still the most valuable way to market anything!! I wish as a people we could stop acting as if we're doing a huge favor to the customer. Let's not forget being nice doesn't cost anything; it could even add more than you ever imagined. Just be nice and be willing to go out of your way when times call for it. It's personal because my son was left starving at the end of the day and the "owner didn't have time to listen, he was rude...
Read moreMy total experience at this restaurant was horrifying. It started off when I walked inside there was no one there to take my order even after pressing the bell several times. I placed an order and was told that my total was $35. I presented the cashier with my card and was told that she had to type it in because the slide machine was not working and I had to put in my zip code. I was not given a detailed receipt however after waiting on my food I asked her for a receipt. After asking for a receipt I was told that they were out of paper and I would have to type in my number for a receipt which I obliged. Only to discover that I was charged a 16% gratuity without my consent. When I confronted the cashier she tried to explain that they automatically charge gratuity. I asked her why is there no sign and I would like my money back for the five plus amount of gratuity that I was charged. She obliged and I was given a refund for the 16% gratuity. I ordered suya and gizzards. The suya was very dry and no flavoring. However, the gizzards were on point and that's why I gave...
