Cash America Pawn — Local services in Chamblee

I’m extremely disappointed for going into this store. I bought a floor buffer for 179, (retail price is 300) I’m a small business owner who’s trying to expand and every dollar means to me. I did test the machine at the store, but after the first use at a customer’s house, the machine started to smoke. I’ve called several places to check on how much it would be to fix - $200 just for the part.

I came back, tried to talk to Neil the store manager about it, long story short, I’m basically being told that I lost my 180 because I didn’t buy a warranty, and that’s how pawn shops work.

A warranty would’ve been another 5% or 10% of the item value, which would make it more expensive, if I’ve had big budgets I wouldn’t even go to a pawn shop from the first place.

The place has no dignity to admin their fault and take responsibility even tho it wasn’t their problem to begin with.

They may have known from the first place that there’s a problem with the machine.

I feel like that store has stole $180 from me, a small business owner trying to find his path amongst big corporations such as Cash Pawn America who can do whatever they want and give no one any kind of excuses about it.

I had the pleasure of first working with Shelia (very professional and a pleasure), and then the manager Neil. I realize all too often a pawn shop may be perceived negatively for any number of reasons. But in reality, there are a variety of high end items for purchase at far less than retail price. It also is a service providing short term financial cash flow when a person needs it. That is an excellent benefit in this economy. Bottom line, this location has something even more, it is led by a manager who sets a positive standard for the branch. 😆So I've been a client/customer of this Burford highway Cash America pawnshop since 2018 and honestly this is my favorite place in the entire state😆 I am a gamer and musician, along with having a career in acting, this location has been cool and understanding of what I'm doing, every employee has a terrific attitude and will be willing to deal with you please be respectful to these good people, the products there are very good and you'd be satisfied with their inventory. The entire staff at this location are top teir customer service providers, most of the employees at this location are bilingual and then the manager Neil, runs a smooth ship and like i said my side or extra money, most of mine comes from cash...
