Espresso Royale Cafe Campustown — Restaurant in Champaign

I'm usually not one to write a review, as I work in food service as well but it's quite tiresome how frequently my order gets messed up. I ordered a strawberry lemon buzz. I have drank this drink for like a year at this point. I know what comes in it. But over the last few weeks and several months at this location in particular, there have been multiple times it gets made with fizzy water. Today it happened again. But this time I watch the associate do it. When she tried to hand me the drink I politely asked her if it's supposed to be made with fizzy water. And she said yeah. I then told her that I did get it made with fizzy water. Her response was to tell me "everyone makes it differently." While I'm sure she didn't mean anything by her comment, it was still the incorrect response for multiple reasons. First, if everyone makes it differently then what is the expectation the customer is supposed to have for an item on the menu that I know has clear directions how to make it? If there is no consistency then am I supposed to oder it specifying the ingredients? This is issue has only happened with new associates. I shouldn't have this consistent issue at this location with such a simple drink order. While the associate did remake it, she didn't put the strawberry flavoring it. GREAT coffee shop! I was unsure about the pistachio cream chocolate cold brew, and asked if I could have a sample, thinking it was just poured from a spout, but the made me a little version (which was above and beyond) and it was DIVINE!! I adore Espresso Royale. It's the most classic type of coffee shop you can find on this campus. The flavor shots and additions you can make to any coffee drink are fantastic, and it's absolute heaven for any coffee enthusiast like myself. The prices are reasonable for the quality of coffee. My only criticism is their recent removal of iced coffee on the menu. Iced Coffee is much better than their cold brew coffee, which I don't care for...
