I recently had the absolute pleasure of dining at Sig grill, a charming South Indian eatery nestled in the heart of Green street. As a devoted fan of Indian cuisine, I was particularly excited to try their renowned Chicken Biryani, and I can confidently say that my experience was nothing short of exceptional.
Ambiance: The moment I stepped into [Restaurant Name], I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The décor exudes a traditional South Indian charm, with vibrant colors, intricate artwork, and comfortable seating. The soft instrumental music in the background set the perfect tone for a delightful dining experience.
Service: The restaurant staff was incredibly attentive and friendly. They were more than happy to guide me through the menu and answer any questions I had about the dishes. The prompt service made the dining experience all the more enjoyable, and it was evident that they take great pride in ensuring their customers feel welcome.
Chicken Biryani: Now, let's get to the star of the show – the Chicken Biryani! It arrived piping hot and was served with a side of raita and pickle. The aroma alone was enough to whet my appetite. The biryani was a harmonious blend of aromatic spices, tender pieces of chicken, and perfectly cooked basmati rice. Each bite was a flavor explosion, with the right balance of heat and the distinct aroma of saffron and spices. The chicken was incredibly tender, and the rice grains were fluffy and separate, a testament to the chef's expertise.
Portion Size: The portion size was generous, making it perfect for sharing with friends or family. I was pleasantly surprised to find myself with leftovers, which I eagerly took home to enjoy the next day.
Side Dishes: In addition to the Chicken Biryani, I also sampled a variety of side dishes. The coconut chutney was refreshingly delicious, and the naan bread was soft and warm, the ideal complement to the biryani. The raita was creamy and cooling, offering a lovely contrast to the bold flavors of the main dish.
Overall Experience: My dining experience at Signature grill was nothing short of extraordinary. The Chicken Biryani was undoubtedly the highlight of the meal, showcasing the culinary prowess of the kitchen. The combination of flavors, the attentive service, and the inviting ambiance left me with a sense of culinary satisfaction that's hard to...
Read moreThis is going to be a negative review but please don't judge this place from my take since I'm from India and have a different expectation from an Indian restaurant (they say fusion, but it's basically indian food). The food is extremely basic, something an amateur indian new to cooking will make. Something I'll not want to pay 10 bucks to get. I've tried this place twice, first time had the rice bowl with chicken, not worth it. The chicken was dry, made separate from gravy. And the latter is probably one of those ready-made gravy that one finds in US supermarkets that one just needs to heat up. Second time had a samosa chaat which was barely passed the mark, but I'll not go back for. We also got a dosa, which was thick (should be thin and crispy), the sambar lacked everything, even salt, the coconut chutney was again very basic, the masala inside was just boiled potatoes and some turmeric...sigh...This place was recommended by a friend of mine and I saw several other Indians, so maybe you'll find it ok. But I gave this place two chances and it did not pass oveall. Also, they should keep the place cleaner. Saw dirty tables and disorganized chairs. The samosa chaat is what I found still passable. So if you at all end up going, try that. But this is basically a McDonald's version of...
Read moretl;dr: Real authentic Indian flavour. Delicious beyond belief. Easy 5/5!
Dosas are hard to make. It's even harder to make a Dosa that emits an aroma so pleasant it takes you back to your childhood. Chicken is hard to not overcook. It's even harder to make succulent, tender chicken tikka that melts in your mouth without the need to even bite it.
When I heard of this place I was doubtful at first but...my god...was I wrong. The food was absolutely amazing and so (and I can not stress this enough) authentic. The Dosas actually brought back memories of my childhood. The tikka sauce...I want to buy a tub of it and slather it on everything.
The service was mind blowing. I talked primarily to the gentleman with the beard and Ferrari button up. His goal was to do nothing but make sure I had the best experience here.
Want a tikka dossa? Get these toppings to compliment it. Want extra sauce? Here, no problem. Be careful, it's hot! Want to enjoy your Dosa while we make your chicken Manchurian fresh from scratch? No worries, grab a seat. We'll bring it to your table.
If you are looking for amazing food and an authentic, good-hearted people, definitely check...
