McDonald's — Restaurant in Champaign

I order a McChicken. I ask the guy to please make sure it is the correct 1 ounce of lettuce on the sandwich. I tell him that if they need to know what exactly 1 ounce of lettuce is, then use a sundae cup lid, and measure it out with that because that is exactly 1 ounce. I get my sandwich exactly the way it is supposed to be, but this is the thing, he charged me for extra lettuce. Why should I have to pay extra for something that is SUPPOSED to go there? And you wanna know something else?? It was the manager!!! Apparently he's not a very smart person. And of course I didn't see my receipt until I got halfway home. He's lucky I didn't know about it then because I would have embarrassed him in front of his employees. I won't be going back there at all. Thanks for listening to me vent about it. And I know some people will reply to this and either make fun of me saying I don't need to be eating McDonald's anyways, or some people will be saying I must be SoOoOoo obsessed with food to know all that info. Ordered a $5 meal deal. McDouble without cheese because I can’t have dairy. They made it with cheese. No big deal! They can remake it! They remade it without cheese OR onions. Oops! No big deal, I let them know it was missing onions assuming they’d just add them… and I’d be on my way. Boy was I wrong! This man came to the window and told me my receipt didn’t say anything about onions — correct! They come on a McDouble, I don’t need to mention them? But they refused to add the onions. Just refused. Threw my food in the trash in front of me. So I asked for a refund. He gave a partial refund, but I caught that and demanded the full amount I paid. He ended up giving me the full refund after initially claiming I was lying.

This could have just been solved so easily by adding the onions to my burger, but instead, they dragged out the ordeal leaving a line of 5-10 cars behind me waiting 10-15 minutes for them to figure out how to give me a refund. Every step of this visit was negative. Seems like new management may...

This is absolutely hands-down, the best McDonald’s in town. I’m not really sure who owns this location, or if they own, any others in town, but whatever combination of things they have going on at this one is perfect. The staff are always incredibly nice, the food is always the best of that McDonald’s has to offer, and I don’t think I’ve ever had an incorrect order made here.

This location also does a teachers night to help support the PTA for a nearby school, which is incredibly awesome because it allows the teachers to work behind the counter for the students, which the students love to see and it allows them to also see that the teachers are putting the work in for them even outside of the school on their own time.

I’m sure by hosting an event like that, it might introduce some sort of complication as far as logistics go for them, considering they still have to handle regular customers at the same time as having completely full lobby for all of the parents, but they do...
