It’s a shame really because I come here almost every Monday, and I have celiac disease and have never gotten sick here, but I had a upsetting experience with an employee today. Due to my food allergy to gluten I have to ask the person making the food to change their gloves. The employee seemed bothered being asked to take a few seconds to keep me from getting extremely ill. While going down the line building my bowl, and then my fiancé’s burrito afterwards, they realized they were out of several items and would have to cook more; earning another look of exasperation from the employee. After completing our orders and directing us to check out the employee began to prepare food for the next customer in line. Soon after the employee brings the customer’s bowl up to the register and audibly says, with clear intention for us to hear, “thanks for making it simple for me.” Followed by an eye roll. If you do not like working your minimum wage food prep job, then get another minimum wage job. I’ve worked in fast food, restaurants, retail and customer service and would never make such a snide remark in reference to a...
Read moreUnfortunately, I left due to four customers in line not wearing masks despite sign requesting mask usage prior to eating in. The customer directly in front of me coughed 4-5 times in the one minute I was there. She was not wearing a mask and was standing at the beginning of the food line and there is a break in the glass so she most certainly coughed into the beans and meat area. I left the restaurant and called 30 seconds later to speak with the manager to inform them. He immediately said they already cleaned it up. I asked him what they cleaned up -the coughing? He said they wiped down the glass and they can't control the mask usage because of people eating inside. I agreed people can't wear masks while they eat, but again stated my concern with coughing on food and wearing masks while in line as the sign indicated. Manager didn't care. I used to love Moe's, but will not be going back...
Read moreFood was tasty-good, but only 3 stars instead of 5 because they have really cut down their portions. They used to lay the soft tortilla, which was also larger than the current tiny ones, flat on foil and put all the toppings on that you requested, like at Subway, and rolled it up on the "Taco Tuesday" special. My husband and I could split an order. Now they put a small tortilla in a stand that holds it folded together and it can't hold very much. Still tastes good, but the portions are too small. Boo. Also, I think they had the air conditioning on, or the heat off, at minimum!! It was freezing in there. Bring your winter coat to wear INSIDE!
Bottom line: portions so small you can't add all the toppings, and freezing inside the building! But still delicious! Left hungry, because we thought we could split the special, as usual, but they shrunk the tacos to a...
