According to the Technomic Consulting Company 80% of consumers purchase a prepared meal at least once a month. The AZ Food Crafters - Kitchen and Catering was opened in 2011 by two business partners who prepared ready to eat meals in a commercial kitchen and sold their products at farmers markets. Their menu mainly included baked sweet and hand pies that were frozen but today their business has expanded to include prepared meals based on their catering menu and a to go service at the shop. They make over 1000 hand pies a week and people can also order diet foods of all kinds including paleo and keto.

Been passing up this placetoday I stopped. What can I say besides"so glad I did". Mike (one of the owners)showed us the menuhe is friendly, informative and takes pride in his pies. We ordered the 2 pork pies, which come with a wonderful cilantro lime dip sauce, and a hot hatch chile sauce, both were extremely good. Mike gave us a little apricot pie as we waited, now I love apricot, & I make apricot pies, but not like this. AZ Food Crafters crust is amazing, like butter, made me happy. My only regret, I ordered take out, and I had to go back for more. If you haven't tried them...

I tried these the first time at the Gilbert farmer's market and was hooked! Found their store/restaurant tucked away in a corner and have tried nearly everything they offer and have never been disappointed. The green chili pork, the breakfast empanadas, and the Jamaican beef are my favorites. I especially love the frozen 3 packs and they heat up beautifully in the oven. Fresh and flavorful, can't say enough good things about the food as well as the people behind it; you can tell they're passionate and love the food...
