Happy Jade — Restaurant in Chandler

In my search for the best Asian cuisine in my immediate area, I happened upon this little neighborhood gem. I had seen this place several times in my comings and goings. I had even called once to place an order, but no one answered the phone (hence the 4 star service rating). But the in house experience far surpassed the minor phone call annoyance. The dining room was clean and quaint. They had all my favorites: lemon chicken, house lo mein, sweet and sour pork. Every dish was savory, and the portions were more than adequate. I could tell that the owner was training a young lad on working the front counter, and he even half-apologized to me for any lack of service that I might've percieved. But I pointed out that the trainee was young but cheerful. The kids warm smile was enough for me to overlook any slight of service discrepancy. The prices were more than reasonable, and i had no reservations about leaving a generous tip. Overall, I can say that I've found my new "go-to" place for Asian dining, and I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting to experience good Chineese food. When you see a mountain-sized pile of cardboard boxes used for takeaway and delivery orders, you know you're a-bao to get some good eats. ;D

We popped in for some Chinese takeout one evening, and what a delight! We ordered the Beijing beef, chicken ho fun, crab puffs, and small hot & sour. The car ride home was pretty torturous as the smells had me instantly salivating. The food held up well during the transport, and everything was exactly what was needed: salt, fat, acid, and heat (and I don't mean the Netflix documentary).

Come by and support this local business. This sits inside a sleepy plaza, but this place is nothing...

Happy Jade in Chandler, Arizona is Absolutely the BEST Chinese restaurant in the Phoenix, Arizona area! My family and I were in town for a week and tried this restaurant a few days into our vacation and it was fresh and DELICIOUS. We loved it so much that we went to this restaurant 4 days in a row. The owners were very nice and personable. The food at most Chinese restaurants that I have tried over the last 2 years has been lack luster and didn't taste fresh. All of the different food that we tried at Happy Jade was super fresh and tasty! I will definitely be back when we visit in the future....
