Gave it some time and still can say this has been the worst Indian place I’ve ever been to. Had the pleasure of visiting with multiple people and got to try multiple things but unfortunately wound up disappointed with pretty much everything.
There were only a couple tables when we went, so it was surprising how slow everything was. The robot server also was not charming at all, especially when the actual server had to try and work around it.
The food, however, was interesting. Mine was designed around sauce - you do not eat it without sauce and if you have bad sauce, you have a bad dish. I received a small amount of sauce and was indeed disappointed with the flavor. The chicken dish my friend got was disappointing. The flavor seemed washed out and the chicken was surprisingly dry. The rest was good at least. It was, however, incorrect. He had said the name, the server looked confused, said it again and pointed to it. The server corrected, what we all thought must have been the pronunciation, confirmed what it was, and then proceeded to order that other item. My other friends curry was probably the best out of all four. Normally, I’d say the least exciting at other places I’ve been to. The tikka masala was surprising considering the dry chicken and, again, the seeming lack of seasoning on the chicken. The naan was okay. Some unique options available. Garlic was good but weirdly wet. I had also tried some jalapeño cheese one that would probably do better with a different cheese and again, do something about how wet the outside of the bread is. I don’t believe this one is on the menu anymore though? The lassis were good though. So that’s one nice thing. I hope whoever was working was having an off day, or was...
Read moreI went Chennai Fusion Grill for their lunch buffet, and it was truly a delightful experience! The variety, freshness, and rich flavors made it stand out among Indian buffets I’ve tried in the area.
Highlights from the buffet: • Goat Curry – tender and perfectly spiced, this was one of the stars of the meal. • Butter Chicken – creamy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced—not too sweet, not too spicy. • Curry Leaf Chicken – a unique dish with bold South Indian flavors, fragrant and delicious. • Lamb Curry – rich, slow-cooked, and hearty, it melted in the mouth. • Chicken Vindaloo – had just the right amount of heat and tanginess to wake up the palate.
For chaat lovers, they offered a fantastic variety: • Tikki Chole Chaat – crispy and savory with just the right amount of chutneys. • Mixed Veg Pakora – fresh out of the fryer and not overly oily. • Pani Puri – crisp puris with flavorful water, a fun and tasty way to start the meal.
Desserts were a sweet ending: • Strawberry Mousse – light and refreshing with a pleasant fruity note. • Rice Kheer – creamy with a nice touch of cardamom. • Gulab Jamun – warm, soft, and soaked just right in syrup.
The staff was welcoming and attentive, and the ambiance had a nice blend of modern and traditional vibes. If you’re craving a high-quality Indian buffet that covers both North and South Indian flavors, Chennai Fusion Grill is a must-try. I’ll definitely...
Read moreTerrible, just terrible. Decades of Indian food across the states and multiple continents this is the one place I will never return. Food is overpriced for what you get. Spices weren't ground completely, they mistook green chili for jalepenos on their menu, and couldn't escape feeling they're trying to over compensate with the vegetables for lack of meat. We also only received one bowl of rice to compliment multiple dishes. We ordered off the happy hour menu and get charged full price. They brought our group's food out at separate times and over twenty minutes. Service was a joke, the waiter was constantly asking us to order, then once we order we get no service. Staff would stand around, watch the TVs, but not check on the tables. This was to the point where we almost left cash on the table and left because we couldn't get the check. With several drinks empty for almost a half hour one of our party managed to stare down the waiter. They then ask if we'd like a refill and we finally were able to get the check. After paying I can say that none of our party will be returning here based on these fundamentals. Didn't even bother to correct the check, not worth the time waiting. Do yourself and loved ones a favor, go to India Oven you won't regret it. If that's too far than the curry bowl, just don't waste your time, money, and life...
