TAX SHELTER & INAPPROPRIATE ATMOSPHERE
After the ownership change, I had to file a credit card dispute for a services package I had paid in full. They did not refund me despite laying off the provider of the service. I got the run-around, as they are not true to customers.
This gym is notorious for playing racially charged music with gratuitous profanity. I tried wearing earbuds but often the volume of their music is too much--again, I have not had that issue either at other gyms. I was counting down the days for my membership to end, because I started going to a more professional gym for less $$. I was tired of hearing the N word, B word, violent lyrics and so on. I voiced my concern to the manager, who decided to just cancel my membership, after providing unacceptable reasoning for the lack of professional environment. I rarely see her there, and often she is working out instead of "managing". She has said they have so many new memberships, yet funeral homes are more lively, at any point in the day or week. I noticed more aggressive members as well.
I mentioned bringing a guest to this gym but being concerned about the loud inappropriate lyrics. The same manager said my guest would be forgiving of such. Ummm.......I'm glad she can apparently speak for other people she does not even know.
For all who are leaving 5 stars, yes the gym is low-crowd--for a reason. This gym switched owner hands prior to covid and the new owner shows no drive to really get the gym the membership quantity it can handle. Esportas and EOS's in the area are packed, when Elev8's floor plan actually warrants a bigger crowd. So many things indicate tax shelter. Do not expect the venue to be professional. I have had a better experience at $10/month locations in the area, as opposed to paying 3-4 times more to not be respected. A business run well has MORE CUSTOMERS, MORE REVENUE. If I had my way, the doors would be shut on this...
Read moreI've never left a negative review before, but this gym absolutely deserves it. The manager and most of their personal trainers are unbelievably disrespectful and unprofessional. It's honestly shocking how poorly they treat paying customers. A gym should be a place that encourages growth and confidence, not one that tears people down or makes them uncomfortable.
Save yourself the frustration and find a place that actually cares about its members. This gym needs a complete change in leadership and staff attitude before it deserves anyone's business. If I could give it zero stars I would but I hope this gym makes some serious changes. Do better!
Response :
Honestly, your response sounds just as fake as your workers. I’ll believe it when I see it. A great first step would be getting those two toxic, egotistical, power-tripping “trainers” Jason and Brittany out of that gym. But based on experience, I won’t be holding my breath.
…Been about 2 weeks….still nothing!! disappointing but not surprising. The lack of accountability says everything about how this place is run. Just more proof their customers mean absolutely...
Read moreThe front staff are really nice. The facility is awesome. A lot of space. This is the issue. People are really inconsiderate. Gym members and trainers don’t re -rack weights or pick up anything. Good luck trying to use the sled. There’s usually 3 to 4 45-pound plates left on it. Same with deadlift bars. There’s dumbbells next to benches. So who is using it? Saw this when I first walked in and was there when I left (See photos). Witness a trainer stretching clients and just left the bands on the ground . I’ve also witnessed 9 year olds throwing cones to each other and playing in the gym while people are trying to train. People just stand around socialize and block the turf preventing others from using the sled. There was a 50 pound dumbbell on an assist chin up machine. Why? I have no idea what this could accomplish. I’ve been training at different gyms for 20 years. I’m frustrated because of the lack of respect for members and myself. Maybe this is the way it is. But I pay $50 dollars a month. I can go to EOS and be frustrated for...
