I have to be totally real here and admit I haven’t stepped into a vegan coffee shop or even tried what is offered until today. I’m so glad I chose Dulce Vida to do so. I’ve been to a few vegan restaurants/bakeries but since I’m not vegan I never really know what to try in all honesty. I frequent Chandler and Gilbert area pretty often so my daughter and I decided to stop by. Right when we pulled up it looked so cute with the windows painted. Once inside I knew for sure this was my vibe with the decor, and local items for purchase. The location is pretty small, but with the lighting and minimalist decor it felt larger. The menu isn’t too vast, but has some great options and with their seasonal menu there was a good amount to choose from. I really like that they make their own creamers and syrups with natural ingredients. I decided to try the iced Dulce De Leche Latte which is coconut cream, coconut milk, and coconut brown sugar off the seasonal menu and my daughter a vanilla latte either almond milk. There is also a small food menu and so I ordered a plain bagel with cream cheese since they were out of everything bagels. Service was good. There was also not one girl working and there was one order ahead of ours but we had our drinks pretty quick. My bagel took quite a while as I think she got sidetracked with another order, but no biggie. I also saw on their website they offer things like yoga play dates as well as other activities. Pretty cool local shop. Lastly and most important of course was my latte was phenomenal. It had the perfect flavor. It wasn’t overly sweetened, the drink itself felt light and I drank it so fast ha ha . My daughter also really loved her vanilla latte. I’m not a fan of almond milk, but I had a few sips of hers and I really enjoyed it as well. My bagel was warmed up with a good amount of cream cheese, but I’d of preferred it a bit more toasted. I’m really glad we stopped in today. It was...
Read moreAbsolutely LOVE Dulce Vida!! My favorite coffee boutique I frequent it multiple times a week. The owners are ALWAYS polite and helpful. Everyone who works there provides great customer service with a smile. I went there today to do some work and and a woman and her children came in and asked if they could go in the room that the owners allow parents to use a s a playroom( on Mondays and Wednesday’s ) Today is Thursday A NON PLAYROOM DAY and the owner courteously said yes. From the moment they set foot in that room the children were screaming and yelling the entire time. Myself and others were working or having meetings as we usually do when going there on a non play day. I had to put headphones on, turn the volume up and still heard the children. I thought they would have read the PlayArea Rules while in there but I guess not. Once the children began to come out of the room( barefoot ) into the main area of the coffee shop (while the woman filmed them from inside the playroom) They danced all around and knocked the trash Can over. At this point, I decided it was time to leave. The owner POLITELY let the PARENTS know there were people working if they wouldn’t mind to have the children back in the room. The the volume from the children was so loud another customer had already left before I decided to in the end. I have no issues with children being in the space but it’s not a playground , it is a place of business and should be treated with respect. Thank you to the owners of Dulce Vida for providing a Welcoming space for adults and children to enjoy 💜 See you next time!! The...
Read moreI live in the neighborhood and have seen the signs adverts for this coffee shop and have wanted to try for a while. Gave it a go today, was happy I did! I went in about 3, an hour before they close, and was greeted by the most adorable little fella who was excited to show me his snacks:) Gentle, relaxing, clean, green decor ( plants everywhere 😍 ) also made me feel comfortable as well as big smiles from the two ladies working. I ordered an iced chai tea and then a chamomile rose milk tea, also iced. I was given a brief but helpful run down of products used. While teas were being made I took the opportunity to look around the smallish yet open spaces that make up the shop. I was, at this late hour of the day, the only patron. Local art for sale ( much being, from my perspective, quite lovely to look at ) hung on walls in a room also holding some children's toys as well as tables and chairs. A message board with snapshots, local goings-on, few adverts hung in a hall on the other side. My teas were ready shortly. The chai was spicy, warming and delicious! A little more milk than I prefer, but now that I know I can change on my next visit as I will definitely order again. The chamomile rose is delicate, sweet and fragrant with a sprinkling of rose petals on the top:) Very tasty. I will definitely be back and look forward to trying other creations in the future! Cute place with a pleasant &...
