I have stopped in here 1-3 times a week, every week, since I began working in the area back in July of 2019! Religiously without fail, EVERY single visit, I am greeted by Maria the carhop! So much so, that she recognizes my car, remembers my order, and delivers my food/drink with the most sincere and genuine smile. It has become a small moment I absolutely look forward to. In a world full of chaos and critics, she is a bright light of kindness and motivation! I recently pulled in here having a VERY BAD day that culminated in one massive meltdown and an ugly cry to boot. By the time my drink got to me(which is NEVER more than a 2-3 minute wait) I was in full blown hysterics. In that moment things were pretty bleak but Maria's kindness, concern, and compassion will never be forgotten! The encounter helped me quickly gain perspective and was the little bright spot of encouragement I needed to pull myself together. Later that week when I went back, she even remembered I had been upset and without prying or crossing boundaries she genuinely wanted to know if things had gotten better. THAT IS CUSTOMER SERVICE IF I EVER! Exemplary employees and people such as her working in service industries often don't get the credit or recognition they deserve. It is my profound hope upper management sees this and gives credit where it is due. This sonic runs like a well oiled machine not because of the protocols in place but because of its people. Read moreI don’t ever complain; however this is not the first or second time I’ve beem to this same sonic and I have had bad customer service. This is the 5th time, I only go back due to it being close and my children love the drinks. But this is my last time going due to, the lady taking my order hung up the speaker on me due to me not ordering my food and drinks fast enough. She kept rushing me to order a drink and my daughter was indecisive of what she wanted changed her mind 3 times. So I asked her to hold just one second so I could ask my 9 yr old if she want a de pepper or a slush. She then hung up the speaker on me without finishing my order and letting me know how much it was The. They turned the whole speaker machine down on me so I couldn’t even ask them.
This is not the first issue I had with this sonic but the fifth. I tried to talk to a manager and they refuse to talk to me professionally. I work in customer service. I do not treat my customers like this nor do I rush them. Only reason I am even writing a review is because I hope that the people (girls) that are there can get some better training on customer service. I was not rude and I will never be rude. I've been going to this Sonic for a number of years, even before the huge renovation that took place a bit back, and am incredibly unsatisfied about my experience yesterday.
Around 9:30pm last night, instead of ordering a huge meal like I usually did so often, I decided to order just a burger. Just a bacon cheese burger with no tomatoes. Now as a young man with some spring still in his step (and a regular patron of fast food restaurants), I'd like to think I've got a lead belly when it comes to food. But boy, was I wrong...
At 2:00am, I woke up in a fervor, dashing to the bathroom to heave my guts out and violently threw up mutliple times. The hours after this were spent on the floor of my friends bathroom, dehydrated and completely embaressed, purging my stomach of whatever was in that burger.
As I lay here in my own bed now, still recovering from last night and typing up this review, I warn you to stay away from this particular location. If a hamburger restaurant is handling burgers this terribly, I can't even imagine what conditions some of their 'lesser ordered items' are subject to.
