Very very disappointed with the service we received when we went for dine in. Food was served cold- When requested the lady who was serving the food to us(senior lady)about any vinegar sauce-She was rude enough to spoil my day saying it doesn't come with a sauce!Hey I know I wasn't served with sauce hence that is the reason I deliberately asked for the sauce-Why there is so rudeness involved in saying No sauce! If this same I would have requested in an American restaurant-they would have happily served it . The lady just kept the food and never came back to us to even see if water was served-straw was there or if we are doing good with food or need anything-I had no water until the time I had to call another young lady who was serving the other guests. This young lady was least interested to even look at us to see if we need anything-It is so so strange-Hey guys-its your own restaurant-You yourself are so careless to even ask the guests or even acknowledge their presence or even welcome them-Such a disgusting service---I will never ever return to this place! When we entered we were standing near the entrance for almost 3-5 minutes with no clue if someone will come to ask us and show us the table for seating-3 people-all of them are busy doing their own work-They walk and pass by us but don't have any courtesy to even ask us if we need any assistance! Cleanliness wise-I would give them 2 stars-There is a paper photograph stuck to the wall with tapes and those tapes are gone-The photograph seems fluttering with the ac air. Please pay some attention to the cleanliness - The cloth napkins were so old and needed quick replacement-Spend some $$$ on buying new cloth napkins-Our napkins were torn ! Not happy with the service-Not recommended at all. There are other places with lot better service, customer care ,cleanliness, and food quality!I don't mind spending few extra $$$ in those restaurants rather than dining in here/and...
Read moreI don't understand why it is so difficult to get Sweet & Sour sauce with a delivery order. I love Chicken Lo Mein, but only when I have Sweet & Sour sauce with it.
My order to Cheng's last night had TWO separate places where I requested extra Sweet & Sour Sauce, Please. Once in the "special instructions" for the item itself, and again in the General instructions for the entire order (my husband ordered Sesame Chicken).
When I received a notice that Cheng's had ADDED a $2.00 fee to my order for an "Adjustment," I assumed that meant they were charging me a little extra for the "Extra Sweet & Sour Sauce, Please," that I asked for (twice).
The order arrives, I ask the driver if there is sweet & sour sauce included in the very small bag of food he just handed me. He shrugged his shoulders and said, "I think so."
But, Nope. Nada. None. ZERO sweet & sour sauce was included with my order. There were two small packets of "SOY" sauce (yuck). So, I couldn't even eat my dinner with any enjoyment whatsoever. We are here from out of town and there isn't any sweet & sour sauce (or duck sauce, or anything similar) in this house.
I will NEVER order from Chengs again. How ridiculous that I'm charged extra for something that I didn't get??
As for how the food tasted, I gave it 3 stars since it was edible. My husband's Sesame Chicken was OK, he said.
What a huge disappointment to our...
Read moreUpdate: we eat here all the time now. We like your food really really hot (10/5 spice level) and Chang's Asia house never disappoints. The owner and stuff are very friendly. Try there desserts, especially the bananas foster which is made table side. Pro Tip: The cocktails are pretty strong so make sure you have a designated driver.
Original review: I've had only one meal here. So is it to early to say it's my new favourite Chinese place? 88 China, Sichuan village, IncrediBowl have all closed. So in desperation we looked for a new Chinese place to try and a fluke landed us here. We got the Sichuan cucumber appetizer, Fiercely hot spicy beef with chillies, Chengdu twice cooked pork, and Filet of flounder with chopped chillies - all extra spicy. And man, do they know how to make it spicy. The cucumber was the best I've had in ages. The three dishes reminded us of some really great Sichuan we have had many years ago. We are definitely going to try dine-in here to try their flambe desserts. This time was carry-out. Must try place. Pro tip: you better be able to handle spicy if you ask for spicy. Best to bring it home so people don't have to watch you sweat and snivle. Pro tip 2:. If you order online you will get the confirmation email/text of your order. But don't wait for a confirmation that your order is ready. One won't come.
Their cocktails are still...
