Café Roca — Restaurant in Charleston

Okay, here’s the story! I ordered a Guava Pastry, Turkey Sandwich, Large Latte, Shaken Espresso, and a Toasted Bagel through the "Local" app, which uses DoorDash for delivery. When the order arrived, the drinks were missing. I asked the driver, but she had no idea about any drinks.

I reached out through the app, and they directed me to contact the shop directly. When I called, the staff was very apologetic and confirmed that the drinks were still there as it seems like the driver didn't pick up them up and explained that due to the way their delivery system is set up, they could only offer me a gift card. I appreciated the response, it wasn’t their fault, and they were kind about it.

But then about two minutes later I got a call from Joe, the manager. He personally delivered the missing drinks and even included a gift card for the trouble. That level of customer service was amazing and truly appreciated!

This was my first time ordering from Roca, and it definitely won’t be the last.

Now about the food...AMAZING! The turkey sandwich was full of flavor, and the arugula was super fresh and crunchy. The bagel was huge and generously slathered with cream cheese. I didn’t try the guava pastry since it was for my coworker, but she really liked it. And the drinks? Perfect. If you love the bold flavor of real espresso, this coffee is for you!

Alright, alright! I stopped in to the just opened @Cafe Roca in West Ashley this morning. I got greeted like an old friend by the two owners Joe and Shannon.

I had one of the best Cortado's that I've ever had and I tried their Breakfast Wontons made with Herbed Cream Cheese, scrambled egg, bacon, (sushi)Eel Sauce, Sriracha Aioli and Scallions. They were spot on delicious! I also grabbed a couple.of Gluten Free Donuts that were also great. Went back today and had a Bagel with Lox! It hit the mark! The vibe is everything we need and want in West Ashley. Cool and inviting with books and even a music nook with headphones if you want to listen to music as you sip and eat. Great music is playing throughout the space for all to enjoy. I ended up spending 30 minutes talking with other customers from the area about food and restaurants we love. This is a real feel good neighborhood place.

I came to this ne coffee place on their third opening day and it did not dissapoint me. I had my skinny iced decaf coffee latte with their glutten free banana chocolate chip muffin and it was so good. I love the ambience of the place, open, and love the natural light with big glass window. I love the big table where they put the water infuse jug and some sofas to sit on. They also sell breakfast menu with full kitchen crew that busy making the food order. The service was pretty fast, but I didnt order the warm breakfast tho so cant really say about the cook breakfast that they had to make in the kitchen.
