I ordered the Brunswick stew collard greens and brisket slider . The stew was cold and very dense almost nothing but broth . The collard greens were good. The best thing on the menu was the kids chicken tenders. When I informed the manager of the cold food she did offer some banana pudding which I decided as this was a family outing Easter dinner after church at that . The server then approached the table with the bill no discount no nothing the server as well slammed the handheld in my hand and stormed off. I then asked for the manager again LOU and she was adamant that I would pay full price . She was by far not customer sevice friendly but did offer a gift card in The amount of $15 ...fair enough as I had eaten the cold food as I didnt see my server and I was starving after Easter church services. 😅 on the upside of things my granddaughter age 4 enjoyed the music and her kids chicken temders and Mac and cheese ....never in a million years would I jave expected this today as I am a frequent flyer and love home team bbq typically when i do come ...and in all my years do I never tip but this was one for the books 📚 however the GOD in me still decided to leave something... Very very disappointed 😞 Will try again .... Another day perhaps . After all I do have a $15 gift card ;)) so thank you LOU...

My recent visit to Home Team BBQ left much to be desired. Despite high expectations, the reality fell short on multiple fronts.
Firstly, the smoked turkey and ribs, touted as specialties, were a letdown. Both dishes were inexplicably hard and dry, lacking the succulence and tenderness expected from quality barbecue.
The disappointment extended to the sides, notably the Mac and cheese, which failed to deliver on flavor, leaving a bland impression.
Service added to the dismay, as the staff neglected to inform us that the sodas provided were bottled with no option for refills. This lack of transparency led to an unexpected additional cost and inconvenience, as we had to order alternative drinks to quench our thirst.
Moreover, the disregard from our server was evident when we had to fetch our own straws from the bar, highlighting a lack of attentiveness and care towards customers.
Regrettably, the aftermath of the meal was marred by upset stomachs experienced by all four diners, indicating possible issues with food quality or preparation.
Overall, my experience at Home Team BBQ was far from satisfactory. The combination of subpar food, lackluster service, and subsequent discomfort leaves little desire for a...
Read morePer the usual, the food is great. It always is. The service is great. Alas, there is a growing trend of which I contend people need to be apprised: the passing of merchant fees, a cost of doing business, to the customer. This may seem trivial to some and, if so, then so be it. The current economic climate is challenging for customers and businesses alike. That said, I champion transparency, which is a component of integrity in business. To add to Brian Garrett’s review from three weeks ago, there is still not adequate transparency at Home Team regarding passing the merchant processing fee, or surcharge, of 3.25% to the customer: no post on the door, no mention from the server. A small mention at the bottom of the menu where many may not notice being the only effort to inform customers of this added charge is inadequate. 3.25% of the bill may, again, seem trivial to some, but what matters first is the principle. While it is legal to pass this fee to the customer in 40 states, adequate notice is expected so the customer is offered the opportunity to better choose their method of payment. As costs are increasing for businesses, if absolutely necessary then the transparency of slightly raising menu prices may be the...
