We ate at this location with a group of 11. We are used to sitting with large groups most everywhere we go but were told 11 was the largest group they had ever had. My sister was getting married at a plantation locally so she decided she wanted to eat here. I did not eat but my 2 kids/wife did. My kids got a Spaghetti plate and my wife picked another pasta dish. They really liked the food. My problem was not with the food, or with the waiter himself. I was charged $86 for my food. I explained to him that I did not eat anything and I had 2 kids meals and my wife had another meal that there was no way this was correct. It wasn't. He said he sent me a refund for the $86. I have not recieved a refund to this day, this was in the beginning of December. I wanted to get the money back and pay for the bill that I was supposed to pay for and leave a tip for the waiter. He was real nervous about it, I could tell the amount of people was hard for him to handle. He wrote his phone number on the reciept and told me to call him if I had issues. I will not call an employee on their personal phones though, he was not the owner nor does he deserve to talk about business in...
Read moreMy fiancé and I ordered takeout, never having tried this place. Seemed a little pricey - which when the quality of most Italian places around Charleston ain't very good made me a bit unsure. It was ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS. The BEST Italian I've had. We shared the Bruschetta for an app and it was delicious - covered in cheese, a sweet balsamic, tomatoes, and fresh spinach. Even after a 15 minute drive it had a very satisfying crunch. I had the lasagna - outstanding. 6 layers - which were cooked so soft that you can cut thru it like butter and melt it in your mouth. It made me make noises my fiancé hasn't heard, and feel things I didn't know I could. In all seriousness, my Fiancé had the Duck Tagliatelle and she loved it. For desert we split the Limoncello - mosit, light and fluffy, not too sweet, with tiny white chocolate shavings across the top and served with fresh cut strawberries. A spectacular meal - and the fact that they added in a big bag of flavorful herb and garlic bread chefs kiss The care and quality put into this food were outstandingly high and obvious. Can't wait to enjoy...
Read moreBtw before you read this review if your planing on taking someone to this place for a date definitely do it, lil pricy but it gives off a romantic setting. So to start it off the food was great, I ordered the lasagna and my friend ordered the duck confit. The lasagna had lots of noodles sheets and the meat sauce was delicious it was cheesy and wasn't sure to meaty so you could taste all the flavors 8/10 not 10/10 since the portion size was small if I didn't eat the bread and get a appetizer I probably would of still been hungry. Now the reason it's 4 stars not 5, the food is great it's clean Inside the workers are nice and friendly and can even give you a good laugh, but the price...... I understand it's a small business and things will be more expensive but the food portion should match it, I think overall the main courses (pasta) should be 3-6 dollars cheaper or there could more noodles or sauce given. And the meatballs since it's just meatballs no pasta should be 3 dollars cheaper and the appetizer like a 2-4 dollars cheaper. Overall food was great friendly place...
