Nazo's Wrapway — Restaurant in Charlotte

I wanted to give this buisness 5 stars yesterday after leaving. I was greeted and treated GREAT, by one of the partners(owners) I can't recall names because there was no name tags but he was phonomeonal, ask me was this my first visit as it was and gave me samples of the rice, meat options, as well as the burger bites, and the baklava dessert. So I purchased 2 chicken wraps, the burger bites and 2 soft drinks. He was so good I even tipped !

So, today I return in hopes of enjoying their food again and it was a totally different vibe. He start by creating my wrap all wrong. He started making a "grain burger wrap" that I did not ask for. He says I thought you want a wrap? I said no, I asked for the chicken wrap and the grain burger bites. So I could understand how one could have been confused, we joke it off with him saying he will have it for dinner. Cool!

He excuses himself to prep more lettuce due to using what he had left after making his dinner. And I kindly and patiently said "that's fine, I'm in no rush" were my exact words. He returned to complete the wraps, I told him which items I'd like to add, that being Lettuce, tomato, both type of peppers, onion, slice cheese, garlic sauce, and black pepper. NO SALT. He go to shake salt on my wraps when I did not ask for salt and being that it was for my mother who cannot do too much salt and myself whom dont care for salt and he was just moving too fast, almost as if he was in a rush and not actually paying the customer any attention because while he was making the wraps he was too busy trying to engage in a conversation with people who he knew in a foreign language in the dining area which is fine talk to whomever you please, just get my food right. And at this point I completely disregarded the fact that I wanted to try the grain burger bites again. I was just like whatever I'll take it in hopes that the salt flavor wouldn't be too much. But then as he was wrapping them, he had the garlic sauce messy all over the wrapper and it just wasn't pleasing to look at and my wraps just looked messy. He didn't even double wrap. I just ultimately end up leaving without anything and said I would gladly return when the other partner is working or another employee. I am obviously highly upset cause I like to leave great reviews for places I enjoy eating at. But I always make sure I go multiple times before basing my opinion because you can go to a place one day and it's great and then the next visit you see another side that isn't always to make their customer feel their money is appreciated. I work hard for these coins and I don't mind showing support but only when I feel it's appreciated but when you're receiving this nonchalant attitude from one of the owners that's not cool and if customer service is not your thing someone else should be running the front line or if you need to engage in conversation with friends and you gon lose focus on the task at hand which is preparing food correctly !

I'm upset I didn't get my wrap today or burger bites but I will return. That's why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. It wasn't my worst visit and only my 2nd but let's hope the 3rd is a charm. Lol It is truly a great place to eat and I'm glad their conveniently 5mins away from my house. I wish I knew the very nice owner name from my first visit, but his attitude is great and he definitely shows appreciation for peoples business and the taste/ quality of the food and his quality in customer service is the only reason I'll return!

But definitely go try it out, on a good day! *finger crossed.

Update : following day lol So, My mother was like go by the wrap place referring to WRAPWAY and see if there's someone else there today. I agreed, I was dying inside again for that chicken lol so as I pulled in the parking lot I slowed down passing WRAPWAY and I noticed both owners and I was happy, I go in & I'm greeted kindly by my guy, and they were both nice, Today was a breeze! I 've had better Mediterranean food at Yafo/Cava here in Charlotte. Went to Wrapway thinking I would get some good, authentic Mediterranean food. Also the reviews were good. I was disappointed. The three stars is for the pita and the sauce. The pita was very good. The pictures shown in the reviews for the chicken wrap did not look like what I got and paid for. The chicken wrap I had was mostly rice. A rice wrap with a few shreds of chicken. The veggies/tomatoes did not seem too fresh. The tomatoes were hard and definitely had no flavor. The seasoning on the very small amount of chicken was just okay. But Really not enough chicken to truly tell. The chicken bowl, their best seller, was also mostly rice, with a few tiny shreds of chicken. The picture of the chicken bowl in the reviews looked like chopped pieces of chicken and a fair amount. I feel as though I paid $23 for some rice. Sadly, I will not be returning. It would be nice if Charlotte did have more good/quality ethnic food restaurants similar to Atlanta and Washington DC. I will just continue going to Cava and Yafo for Mediterranean food. I cant say enough good things about this place. I had seen it for years, as I used to live in the area, and went back to visit some family and decided to roll the dice and try the food. I like to try new foods from different cultures, and this did not disappoint. We told the gentleman behind the counter it was my first time there and he gave us 2 "samples" of the lamb kofta and spicy chicken. They were the largest samples I had ever gotten anywhere. I expected a little piece of meat and few pieces of rice, nope! We each got a little tray about 3 inches long, 2 inches wide and 2 inches tall full of rice, lentils, lamb and chicken. The first bite was incredible. I think it may have been one of the best flavors I had ever experienced. I promtly ordered a bowl of the same, minus the chicken (because I wanted more of the lamb). When I sat down to eat, it was so good we didnt talk much because I didnt want to stop eating. I finished every bit of my meal, and then went back for some chocolate gelato. Omg, they knocked this one out of the park too! Perfectly creamy, rich chocolate flavor. Perfect compliment to dinner. I went back the next day for lunch AND dinner.
