Wow!

What a fantastic experience. My wife and I went to Idlewild not even knowing that this place existed and were sent here when we joined the waitlist for Idlewild.

The menu here is classic cocktails with a twist. I got the penicillin which was borrowing from its classic big brother to become by far the best penicillin I’ve ever had. This fresh take was so delicious and so wonderful I got another.

My wife got the drink with lemon and Prosecco. It was fantastic! No food for us this time as we had already ate, but I could not be happier and more excited that this place is here. The owner, Vince, also owns Idlewild which is a favorite spot for my wife and I for excellent cocktails in a “up” environment. This eclectic, dark, and casually elegant expression at the Fairweather is certainly a welcome addition to the Charlotte area. Excellently crafted cocktails.

Also, gotta give a shout to our server Jess. From the moment she said hi she was just the right amount of high level service and casual energy. Amazing personality and EXCELLENT attention to detail. Ask for her if...

I am sooo excited to have a place like this right here in Charlotte! The place is beautiful and well done. It looks modern yet cozy. The servers are friendly and came by to check on us multiple times. And the food. OMG! The food was phenomenal! We had fresh oysters that were expertly shucked. No grime and no sand at all. The salmon crudo had a hint of orange tapenade and very unique. It was one of the best bite of food I ever had. We also shared shrimp cocktail which was very meaty and plentiful. It had real SHRIMP taste. The best dish however was the Berkshire pork chop. It came with this incredible agrodolce. I could just eat that relish by a shovelful! Let's not forget their cocktails. It is a cocktail bar after all. I mean I thought Idlewild had no competition but watch out! The cocktail offerings are unique and of course delicious. I had a matcha pina colada that was one of a kind. I am already looking to go back...

The NC State legislature has decided to remove all the most delicious dishes in the Charlotte area. The nudi, the oysters and every other culinary wonder. But not to worry that decision was made for the betterment of your health! Ironically all the amazing neurotoxic drinks are still available so if you drink you are in luck! The amazing atmosphere is also healthy enough for you to enjoy, until they legislate away chairs (they are so easily tipped backwards).

Nicest oyster place I've been to in Charlotte hands down. Ambiance and service are also second to none.

Oysters and crudo were both the best but the yellowtail dish was quite good too. The only non raw item was the crudo which was a very rich and savory dish (we got two).

Parking and logistics were also a breeze.

We will definitely return...
