First time here, it was on my list of places to check out. Love the vibe, the location is great for me, and the beer is excellent. They had a great selection and had a couple different ones that I liked. I was happy to see they weren’t all IPA’s (I’m not a fan of IPA’s).
Great staff too. The food is eh. I ordered the wings, and was not impressed. The buffalo sauce was good, but the wings tasted they had been boiled then thrown in the oven to put a crust on them. The wings were big and meaty, but poorly cooked and tough. And the blue cheese was the worst I’ve ever had. Ever. Anywhere. It was so soupy and watered down that any chunks of blue cheese sunk down to the bottom of the plastic ramekin they served it in. It tasted like they had added onions for flavor, which made it even worse. The carrots and celery they served with it was dried out and tasted awful. I sat at the bar next to a regular who trumpeted how great this place was, but admitted they went across the way to eat.
I’ll admit, the vibe and the staff were great, but the wings and blue cheese were terrible. I’d be willing to come back and try something else on the menu because I liked the place so much. But steer clear of the wings. I’ll give this place another shot, though. Just not...
Read moreWe came here for a happy hour recently and it was a great space!
The taproom is large inside. They have big tables by the bar and smaller ones in the back. They also have an area with games, shuffleboard, and couches. The outdoor patio was my favorite pastry. There are tons of tables and it was the perfect place to enjoy our recent warm weather.
I don't drink beer, so I appreciated that they had Lenny Boy kombucha on tap (although I wish more places had some of the other great local kombuchas). The people I talked to said the beer was pretty good.
We were hungry, so we got the pear and prosciutto flat bread, the lamb mac and cheese, and the pimiento cheese toast. The pimiento cheese toast came with a tomato jam and it was quite good. We also enjoyed the flat bread. We were disappointed by the mac and cheese though. When we first got it, it was cold (not luke warm, cold). They were very apologetic and brought us one that was warm. Unfortunately, it just didn't have any flavor. I couldn't taste any cheese, just cream.
Overall, I think the food was pretty good with just I've miss. The brewery was a great place to hang out. It wasn't too loud and there were a quite a few people there, but it wasn't a zoo like some other breweries. I'd recommend...
Read moreWe went here for the first time last night. I really enjoyed the beers and the atmosphere! There was an amazing live musician on the patio, hands down the best free entertainment I've seen in Charlotte. There was plenty of seating. It's a laid back chill vibe with picnic tables, and there were tons of adorable dogs on the patio. There is a huge free parking lot, truly a rare find in Charlotte.
The beers were great! They have a salted lime beer, a delicious sour, a Czech style, and even a high gravity barleywine. The service was top notch. The bartenders were fast and offered us samples of different beers to try. There is also lots of seating inside and comfy couches. I would definitely recommend this place. There are restaurants very close, so we ate dinner and then just walked across the parking lot for beers. A...
