Uncle chef seafood & wings — Restaurant in Charlotte

Listen if you are in the Charlotte area living, visiting, shopping or eating and looking for some of the BEST fried seafood. Look no further than Uncle Chef. From being greeted immediately walking in by a young man named Shawn (sorry if spelled incorrectly) to everyone else that spoke and said hello upon entrance. It really made me feel as though I was at one of my Uncle's backyard Jawn's back in Philly.

I decided on one of the "Build your own wave combo. I chose Fried shrimp and whiting. Both were seasoned and cooked just right and my side of okra was cooked perfect not too slimy at all. Overall, very solid food spot if your looking for some good fried seafood. Run tell ya mom's duke and nem. We had originally planned to patronize another restaurant close by, but after seeing their banner announcing the Grand Opening, we decided to check them out. The best decision ever! Once we walked in the door we felt at home. We were greeted by one of the chef's sons and given some samples and WOW!! The General Tso and Garlic Parmesan shrimp were fantastic! While we checked out the rest of the menu, Uncle Chef came out and personally greeted us. The atmosphere and vibe was so comfortable that we decided to dine in. When I tell you that everything we chose from the menu was on point...EVERYTHING WAS ON POINT!! That includes their food, attitude, and attention to detail as people. Today we became a part of the family and couldn't be more honored! We HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS FAMILY OWNED DINING...

Let me tell you something… As long as Uncle Chef has a restaurant in Charlotte, NC he will FOREVER have my business! When I say EVERYTHING is/was EXCEPTIONAL I mean just that!!! They were CLOSING/CLOSED (lights off, open sign turned off, doors just locked) and OPENED the doors to serve my husband and I! That’s what you call A1 customer service hands down!!! We had just found out about Uncle Chef yesterday while we were heading to another restaurant in that vicinity and dropped in to check them out as well. We were greeted when we first walked in, provided with samples, ENDED UP ORDERING WITH THEM as well and back shopping with them again tonight. Uncle Chef and Fam thank y’all so much, we will definitely be back...
