Disappointing Experience at Jack and Jill's

Jack and Jill’s offers a wide-ranging menu, but unfortunately, the quality of food and service left a lot to be desired during our visit.

Our party of three ordered wings, a chicken Caesar salad, and a Philly cheesesteak with tater tots. The wings were slightly overcooked—better than undercooked, but still not ideal. The Caesar salad was a major letdown: the chicken was undercooked, the lettuce was wilted, and the dressing had a strange, unpleasant taste. The Philly was decent, but the tater tots tasted like they were fried in dirty grease.

Worse than the food, though, was the service. It took 20 minutes just to get our drinks: two unsweetened teas and one sweet tea. We asked for sweetener, but it didn’t come with the drinks. Five minutes later, we reminded our waitress, but instead of bringing it, she started to walk away again—so we gave her our food order instead to save time.

Ten minutes passed with still no sweetener, so I went to the drink station to get it myself. The waitress seemed offended by that. Meanwhile, the table next to us, which arrived after we did, was receiving significantly better service for some reason.

When we noticed that table already paying, we flagged down our waitress to ask about our food. She rolled her eyes and said, “I’ll check for you.” Another server eventually brought out our meals, but without the sauces we requested. We reminded both servers, but the sauces never came. We finally asked for the check and left—still without the sauces.

Overall, the inconsistent food and poor service made for a frustrating dining experience. I would not recommend Jack and Jill’s and won’t be returning. Avoid this place if you're looking for quality food or...

Went to restaurant with my Mother . Probably 1/3 capacity if that. Mostly people seated at bar. Ordered food, waited and I went out to make a call. No food yet, phone call almost 9 minutes it returned and food on table my Mother already eating. . I ordered a fried chicken salad. I poured the dressing on the slab and it was to dry for the size of salad for me. So I saw my waitress at the bar counting money and asked for more dressing. I checked again in a out 5 minutes she was still counting money at bar. By now, my Mother had pretty much finished her order so I asked for the bill and to take the salad off. She said , "so you want me to take the salad off cause I took a couple of extra minutes." It was more than that by about 12 minutes not including when I was on my call. So she accused me of eating the chicken off the salad and I told her I had only tossed the salad and the croutons , chicken etc were merely at the bottom because of gravity. So I asked for the manager who showed up in a couple of minutes. I explained to him and he accused me of the same thing cause he couldn't see the chicken or croutons. I told him I wasn't paying and he said he would charge me half price. I told him I wasn't paying anything for something I didn't partake of in any amount. I told him to call the police and he pulled out his phone and started typing them asked me for ID. I told him I wasn't giving him my ID we could wait for the police. I visited this restaurant with my very good friend before our sip and paint event which was only 44 mins away yesterday (Saturday). The waiter was nice, and the food was pretty good. The first drink that came out for us the mary jane was so good that we ordered another round. Once the second round came out it went from a mixed drink to a drink that tasted like I was taken a shot. I informed the waiter who asked me did I wanted them to fix it and make another one. They brought out another one which was even worse. The manager came out which I thought was going to be a I apologize let me see how we can fix this situation oh boy was I wrong. The manager was extremely rude and condescending. He made a point to come to our table to inform us that because I sent back 2 drinks (that were not fixed correctly) that I was pretty much wasting his alcohol and wanted to make sure that the drink that I changed to was one “that I really wanted”. I expressed to him that it was not my problem that the drinks were not prepared correctly, he said exactly that’s why I did not charge you, just flat out rude. I also expressed to him that the Mary Jane was what I wanted however what was sent out to me was not a Mary Jane it was a double shot of liquor with some juice.
