My wife and I tried going here for dinner Wednesday, July 10, but the place was hoppin and it was an hour wait. The nice young lady at the Hostess stand suggested we try coming back between 3pm and 5pm, as they are usually not super busy at that time. We took her advice and returned the following afternoon at about 330pm. Perfect! We elected to sit inside as it was a little warm and we had just got off a Duck Boat Tour, so some cool air was nice. The restaurant was very cool and we really liked the atmosphere. They had a very nice outdoor area on the water with as many tables outside as there were inside. Our server, Manuel, was very polite and engaging. We asked for suggestions on drinks, mainly about the Lawton 'rita. Manuel advised it was very good and mixed evenly after my wife told him she did not like overly sweet margaritas, as you so often find in many restaurants. She elected to try a sip of mine because she didn't want to have a drink sent back. Manuel smiled and told her you won't want to send it back once you taste it. He was right! It was probably the best margarita we have encountered in a long time! Delicious! It was also happy hour, so I ordered a 2nd one! If it wasn't for having to drive back to our Airbnb, we would have gotten a table outside, after we had finished our meal, and ordered another round! Ok, as for the food we went to Manuel again for some advice, since I was having trouble choosing between the Voodoo Chicken and the Wood Grilled Shrimp. Manuel only had to say that the chicken at the Boathouse was VERY good, so I went with the Voodoo Chicken. My wife asked him about the Wood Grilled Quesadillas, but Manuel suggested she try the Stuffed Pablano, so she did. Both of our meals were delicious! Manuel knows what he is talking about for sure! Overall, we had a wonderful experience at the Boathouse Rotisserie and Raw Bar and will return the next time we are in Chattanooga. Give it a try and ask for Manuel's section! Remember, go earlier than 5pm because they do not take reservations.

If you're looking for a truly unforgettable dining experience, look no further than the Boathouse Rotisserie & Raw Bar. From the moment you step inside, you'll be swept away by the stunning views of the water and the romantic atmosphere that's perfect for a night out with your significant other. But the real star of the show here is the food. Starting with the raw oysters, they were some of the freshest I've ever tasted - there was no hint of ocean taste or smell, just pure, delicious oyster flavor. And the classic grilled oysters with garlic butter were simply divine - the buttery garlic flavor perfectly complemented the oysters. But the grilled octopus was a real standout for me. It was cooked to perfection - tender and juicy, with a delicious flavor that paired perfectly with the accompanying feta and arugula. Moving on to the entrees, the Ahi Tuna was an absolute delight. The glaze was sweet and tangy, with just the right amount of whipped wasabi sauce, and the green beans were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The trout was also outstanding - flaky and moist, with a delicate flavor that was enhanced by the simple yet flavorful seasoning. And of course, no meal at the Boathouse would be complete without a visit to the full bar, which connects the restaurant and the boat. The cocktails were expertly crafted and absolutely delicious, and the selection of beer and wine was impressive as well. All in all, the Boathouse Rotisserie & Raw Bar is a true gem in downtown Chattanooga. The food, the atmosphere, and the service all come together to create an unforgettable dining experience that's not to be missed. I highly recommend it!

Our first visit to Chattanooga, Tennessee to spend Christmas with our new grandson. Our son and his wife took us out to BOATHOUSE ROTISSERIE AND RAW BAR (BRRB) for dinner. First, great parking on both sides of this elegant and family friendly restaurant. It was cold outside and just starting snowing but when we came inside it was warm and comfy. The staff were kind and friendly and we waited for a table and were seated promptly. Okay - now the best part: The table we were seated at was soooo perfect for five adults and a baby. So surprised to see how spacious the seating areas were. Nice because there walking room and you're not bumping into anyone. EDDIE was our server and got to us fast. He took our drink and food orders and we were off. Half-price amazing oysters on the half shell. đ Yummy! House dinner salad we shared for three - delicious and fresh/crispy. We ordered: Brisket, Fried Shrimp, Red Snapper, Fish Tacos, and I had the Stuffed Poblano Chili with chicken which was absolutely amazing! The food was so dang delicious and we love BRRB! Carlo and I topped off this great meal with a hot fudge sundae, not knowing there would be three scoops of ice cream in each serving. There was a spoon for every scoop and we shared with the family. The manager (didn't catch his name) was everywhere checking on customers dining and really, quite efficiently handling the growing crowd of diners. We are all coming back to BRRB on our next visit. Tennessee folks are so kind and friendly. We're from California and I would recommend BRRB for your family's next outing. Love you Tennessee. See you soon!! Martha and Victor

We did not have a wait since we were fine with inside dining. There is deck seating and raw bar seating. We started with fried clams which were served with peppers and the Lawton 'Rita. This was followed up with 1/2 dozen raw oysters. The kitchen, I'm thinking, were a bit rushed as the clams could have been drained just a minute longer. But other than being a little greasy, they arrived to our table piping hot and delicious. The oysters were small. That's unfortunate as I truly love oysters. (I noticed oysters Rockefeller on the menu. The next visit i will have to try them.) I had the catfish and was very disappointed. The fish was tasty. But it was watery and mushy. I was assured that the catfish is never frozen and perhaps the kitchen cooked too much at once. I liked the tartar sauce and fries. The Lawton 'rita was frozen. Too much salt on the glass and I really struggled to taste the drink around it. It was topped with 2 slices of jalapeño and a lime. The jalapeño wasn't hot and was lost in the salt. Oddly, they had stuffed poblano peppers. A delicious pepper stuffed with chicken and topped with sliced avocado sitting on a cheese sauce. It was very good. The meal was finished with bread pudding and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Get two spoons and share. This old fashioned dessert seems to be making a come back and I'm so glad! This was so rich and dense and moist. Delightfully complex flavors complimented by the ice cream.

The view is exceptional! I picked this place based off the location and the oysters alone. We arrived at Boathouse on a Friday evening before their push prior to six. We were on a brief wait for patio seating which is expected. Once we got settled at our table the patrons at the next table over wished for the outdoor shade roller to come down since the sun was blazing. The staff was able to make a compromise for us and only roll it half way. We wished to sit outside to enjoy the sun and the view, not block it. Next we were greeted by our server, Ann, she took our drink order, a couple of beers on draft. The Blue Moon and pale ale came out at good time. I respect a rustic Saison. And thatâs what I got from Blackberry Farms. The brew has earthiness with a hint of spice and not heavy wheat. After the drinks arrived we were able to order a half dozen Middle Neck clams and East Coast oysters and also a dozen Chesapeake Bay oysters. Usually, I prefer my oysters naked, but I tried a few with hot sauce since it was put on the table and they went down splendid. However you prefer your oysters I think youâll be satisfied here. The beerâs definitely weren't the best pairing with shelled seafood, but I wanted to capture part of Chattanoogaâs character and I wasnât disappointed. I hope to return in the future with more folks. Situated against the backdrop of the stunning river view, this dining experience transcends mere meals â itâs a journey for the senses. Freshness is the cornerstone of every dish here, evident in every bite of the ahi tuna salad. The vibrant colors and bold flavors of the tuna paired with crisp, locally sourced greens create a taste thatâs both refreshing and satisfying. For the raw oyster aficionados, prepare to be dazzled by the sheer variety and freshness of the offerings. Each briny slurp is a testament to the restaurantâs commitment to sourcing the finest, most pristine seafood available. And letâs not forget about the fried okra â a true Southern delicacy done to perfection. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and bursting with flavor, itâs the ideal accompaniment to any seafood feast. But what truly sets this establishment apart is its unparalleled river view. As you dine, youâre treated to a panoramic vista that enhances the dining experience, elevating it from extraordinary to unforgettable. Whether youâre a seafood enthusiast or simply someone who appreciates a good meal with a view, the Seafood and Oyster Bar is a destination not to be missed. Prepare to indulge in a culinary adventure that will tantalize your taste buds and leave you longing for more.
