My most recent visits have not been good. Let me start by saying. This use to be an amazing Pizza place. It seems more so now, than before they have started down a slow spiral. It shows the lack of quality of using good ingredients. The pizza, no matter which you order. Pepperoni or veggies. The pizza is full of Grease. In the past we ordered with several different meat, so figured maybe it was grease/fat possibly bc of the meat. No....it's from the cheap cheese being used. We paid $40 for our order so...for a large salad (garden) (lettuce appeared to have been soaked as it had been sitting in water, 2 slices of tomato, 2 slices of cucumber & a pinch of shredded carrots that also appeared to have been soaked in water. With bare minimum of what is usually on a garden salad) then we order garlic bread obviously wrong term as we were handed literally a garlic toasted bun.... We won't be back. I hate this too.... I've been going to Gondolier forever. But after this. I won't again. My husband couldn't even leave the house the day after eating his pizza. I gave mine away. Tossed bread & what couldn't be salvaged of the salad into the trash. Total waste of $$, time, gas. Right now, people can't afford to waste these things. We decided we will spend an extra 5 min to drive, spend an extra $10. Just to go downtown on Market St to Community Pie. They aren't as expensive and use way better ingredients. Don't get me wrong. They DO have some pricey menu items. But...I can assure you. The quality of the food & service. Can't be beat. Everything from the crust, toppings, service, side orders, etc. Is exceptionally great!! Do yourself a favor. Take a trip to visit them. I have a feeling after this trip. Our experiences and others experiences. Gondolier will be just one of those old joints struggling to keep up, or they'll toss in the towel. Very sad, indeed. They used to be great! I can remember the place they had on 58. It was amazing. But employees took more pride in their work too back then. Hard to find good, honest, loyal employees that truly want to work their way up. Smh who knows why they have fallen so far but I pray they regain what they have lost & are able to rebuild. The young man that took our order was also apparently in a rush so maybe that's why he wasn't able to let my husband know the bread would be a bun & not actual bread as in sticks or whatever. Who knows. The question I ask was, "why wouldn't an employee speak up when they see what the person has ordered and ask, is this bread sticks you would like?" Makes more sense than allowing an order to go thru for a bun..... I'm just disappointed as it was me, that told my husband about this place 2 years ago. Hoping you all get it together. The menu item prices are shocking which I know under this sad administration we are all feeling the choke hold of the inflation they have us in. But the cost for a Grease soaked pizza and water logged salad. Is just too much for our pocket. Come on Gondolier Be best 💖🍕🥖🍕🥖🍕🥖

I found this Place accidentally and am so happy I did.The food was great Juan was helpful and explained everything. The menu is immense.I've never seen a larger menu. And the portion size is phenomenal. Again I cannot say enough about this little place.I got the toasted ravioli. It was wonderful lots of it at my just 2 or 3. I got chicken strips or chicken tenders. Those were great and so big and juicy. They always have pizza specials. All the time. Just call come by stop in take it to go eat in. They have something for everyone. It's wonderful and everything is fresh and made there. Don't have to worry about it being shipped in from somewhere else. Did go back the next day and had a different front associate I was going to eat in and have a separate to go order. But when she wanted to charge me for sauce for my chicken tenders and then even eating in wanted to charge me 50 for water. I decided to just take it all to go and use my own sauce at home. It is the little things that build business and charging for water when I am eating in is rather silly. And why offer sauces with chicken tenders if you then want to charge extra. 🤔 food was still good but think someone might rethink charging for water and initial sauces. Carmen was polite but wanted to charge for every little thing.

I and our church have supported this restaurant for many years so I know what to expect and never felt the need to inspect before leaving. I purchased 20 wings the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. When I opened the foil wrapping on Thursday the wings were obviously overcooked and burnt. I immediately called the restaurant. I was asked my name and was told to bring them back. They couldn’t give a refund but would replace the wings. I did as instructed and EVERY person I spoke with offered nothing! I even waited until the manager, Bernice, returned to work Monday, sent her pictures and was promised a call back. She did call back but with an insinuation that I re-warmed the wings. It’s obvious that the pan had never been warmed! Overall, I am disappointed they didn’t stand behind their work, didn’t replace the wings and insulted my integrity! After all these years, they have lost a loyal customer over 20 wings/$40 refund.

I have never posted my experience good or bad on anything but I refuse to let a business like this respond negatively to a customer like how I was. Here is my recent experience. I ordered 2 pizzas and 2 orders of wings by phone. Once I arrived at Gondolier business I paid by debit card for all the food. I drove home and when I got home I realized that my 2 orders of wings(both were $10.50 each) were not correct and they didnt cut either of the pizzas in slices. I have never ordered a pizza and they didnt cut it so I just cut it when I got home.. I then took both orders of wings back to Gondolier and it explained to the cashier at the restaurant that my order of wings were not correct. The cashier went in the back and had a conversation with the cook. The cashier stated the cook stated they were out of the wings that I ordered(drums/flats). I explained to the cashier it would have been better if that was explained to me when I ordered and if I could get my money back on the 2 order of wings that I brought back. The cashier stated that his manager would go in the system and look up my card information and return it back on my card. I asked for a return receipt showing that I returned the food and a receipt showing that I would get my money back. The cashier stated he couldn't give me a return receipt and only the manager could go in and give customers money back without a return receipt showing evidence that I returned the food. I asked the cashier if he could call his manager to discuss this so I would be sure I'm getting my money back. He stated he couldn't and his manager was busy. The cashier stated that his manager would be back on Sunday March 20, I returned back to the restaurant the next day and the cashier explained that he told his manager about my concern and he couldn't tell me anything going forward about my money being returned. I explained to the cashier this cant be acceptable and I would get the police and...

We're do I start ... Customer Service , hmmm well let's just say the past 3 times I have gone here it has been like it's non existent, the young kid behind the counter gets very defensive when you inform him that something is wrong with the order, I ordered a couple of pizzas and asked for one to have extra pepperoni when I looked at them before I left it didn't not appear to have extra he quickly looked at the receipt and and said well it on there and through the te away so I couldn't look at it then my salads when I ordered I asked for 2 small house garden salads I asked for one without tomatoes and add extra cucumbers they have never came with onions before so I did not feel the need to ask for them to not have onions when I got there I noticed both had onions on them I'm ok with onions but my wife is not I mentioned to him that there were onions on the salad and asked when they started putting onions on the house garden salads he said they have always done that and then said that they were the house Greek salads I said I wanted the garden salads and he argued with me about what I ordered after a few minutes he finally went out back and corrected the salads and when I got home they were still not made right then proceeded to tell me that I asked for balsamic vinaigrette for dressing I stated I wasn't asked any kind of dressing for my order and again proceeded to argue again I'm sorry but I've worked many jobs with customer service and this kid really needs to learn not to argue with the customer I was about to walk out and leave all my food there I will not be back any time soon and when and if I do ever return I'll just be asking for a manager to...
