Duncan City Pizza — Restaurant in Cheboygan

Best pizzaria in town, hands down. Good selection of appetizers (I recommend the wings) salads, subs/wraps, pizzas and sweets. Ingredients are good quality and fresh, there are numerous sauces and dressings and a choice of crusts. They offer a build your own pizza and will even prepare a take and bake pizza of your choice. Personally, I would like to see them build a hand tossed dough that was lighter and airier (not thinner or more crispy as they do that well on request) and had more flavor. I also find their standard red sauce to be well short on herbs and spices. I also miss having red pepper flakes and powdered Parmesan cheese available. Service has always been fast, accurate and delivered by friendly, knowledgeable personnel. All in all, the price is good for quality of food and service provided. Alright, so this place is relatively new so I will give them the benefit of a doubt but until I feel like ever ordering from there again my review remains at two stars. My Comments on service is they highly over estimate their time to cook for pick up. I had arrived at the restaurant after the alotted 50 minutes they described, to not only have to wait long for the person to ask me if I was there for pick up, but when she showed the pizza to me the slices had separated and the cheese had already cooled to the cardboard of the box. Although after seeing that, she then had another employee push the pieces back together thinking that would fix it. Camping in Cheboygan and saw great reviews for Duncan City Pizza, 10 min from our park, so we placed an order for a carry out. Ordered a 14” large Major Dana pizza. Young woman who answered the phone was very pleasant who took my order. Pizza was just coming out of the oven when husband arrived at the promised time. Small place, very clean and organized, pleasant employees!! Price reasonable! That was one delicious and hot pizza with a generous amount of cheese and toppings and we really liked their sauce. We will definitely return and order again, large menu to choose from, salads, dinners, wraps and Sub sandwiches, sweets, and the guest of honor/ great, delicious pizza, excellent!
