Tiger Thai Restaurant — Restaurant in Cheboygan

I ordered Tiger Thai noodles with tofu. It was a generously sized portion that was extremely delicious, and perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of everything. So good that I ate half for dinner, and the remainder for a late night snack-the leftovers could not wait until the next day!

It is a shame that some people chose to write negative comments about price (we all know food cost has gone up), and what meals 'should' include. Both of these things are unfair. My experience is that Chinese restaurants often include soup with entree, Thai restaurants in general do not. You may have to pay for that Chinese egg drop soup, but be thankful that the owners kept it on the menu for you.

Tiger Thai is the real deal. Their menu is typical of a downstate Thai restaurant, the food is of great quality, good quantity, and is worth every penny. I am thrilled that we have this option in our town. Especially because for those of us who eat vegetarian/vegan, there is nowhere else with this many entree options locally. I was so excited to know that a similar restaurant to indo china was coming in. Not much would change. We finally had the opportunity to grab take out today and I was so disappointed. First you don't get the option to get fried or white rice. If you want a pint of fried rice it is $6. No soup either. Fried wontons were under cooked and lacked the filling and flavor. I understand they aren't open for dine last time I checked but it would still be nice to get a fortune cookie and to go utensils.

The food was surprisingly good. The place that existed before this one was terrible. My critiques would be that you are not able to substitute white rice for fried rice, you have to pay extra. A quart of rice here is smaller than an actual quart of rice. You can't dine in, which is unfortunate. I hope they work on that. The lady at the front also was not very knowledgeable about the food and when asked questions she said, "We've only been open for three weeks so I don't really know." Customer service could be a little more welcoming and friendly...
