The Papa Gino's in Chelmsford has consistently been a reliable spot for delicious, high-quality food. From the perfectly baked crust with that signature chew to the flavorful sauce and generous toppings, their pizza always hits the spot. It's the kind of quality you can count on, whether you're ordering a classic cheese or one of their specialty pies. Beyond the pizza, their other offerings, like the pasta dishes and grinders, maintain that same level of excellence. What truly elevates the Papa Gino's experience in Chelmsford, however, is the exceptional customer service. Every visit, I'm greeted with genuine warmth and attentiveness. The staff is always friendly, efficient, and ready to go the extra mile to ensure a pleasant dining experience. It's clear they take pride in what they do, and it makes all the difference. But for me, Papa Gino's is more than just a place to grab a great meal; it's a time capsule. Stepping inside instantly brings back a flood of happy childhood memories. I can almost see my younger self and my sister sitting across from my parents, excitedly waiting for our pizza to arrive during our lunch outings. The familiar aroma of baking dough and the cozy, unpretentious atmosphere haven't changed a bit over the years. This sense of nostalgia, combined with the consistently excellent food and top-notch service, is why Papa Gino's remains a beloved local institution for me. It's a taste of the past served with a smile, and I look forward to many...
Read moreWe were here on vacation with another couple. We ordered wings and salad and they were fine. The other couple with us ordered a small the works pizza and a salad. While ordering they had added a cheese pizza and the works. They told them only the works. They got a printed receipt that stated clearly it was the works pizza. We were told 30 minute wait. After 30 minutes they showed up with a pepperoni pizza. We had to show the receipt to prove we ordered the works. We had offered to just eat the pepperoni because we were starving. When we got back to the counter to show the receipt they had already given the pepperoni to someone else and stated it would be ten minutes before the works pizza arrived. We had to go to the counter to pickup the pizza. We were eating in so it should have been delivered to the table. They had delivered all of the other eat in food. We requested some discount to compensate for the mixed up order and lengthy wait. We were offered a small bag of chips. Manager was very impersonal and not willing to admit they made a mistake. We...
Read morePOOR SERVICE BAD FOOD. I ordered 2 small cheese pizzas yesterday at non peak hours for dine in. I sat down at a table and waited close to 20 minutes for my order (unusually long) and I saw other people standing right next to the counter get their orders first. No one called my name once the pizzas were ready, I went up to check after waiting for so long and found the 2 pizzas sitting on the countertop. Even though I stood there, the boy at the counter gave a takeout order to a customer who ordered way after me. The pizzas were not piping hot but cooled off almost room temp, and when I asked if these were fresh the employee said "Yeah, they've been out for a minute".
Pizza crust itself was so dry and tough it had cracks baked into them. Barely had a layer of cheese. They leave the balls of dough outside, not covered. One female employee making the pizzas was wearing a black shirt with dog or car hair on her back, which is not sanitary. The tables and seats are not wiped down and have...
