I've been getting Takeout from Pita for a number of years and due to two recent experiences, won't return. The food and service in the past has always been consistently good, prices reasonable and takeout orders ready on time. However, my major issue concerns my experience with their pork souvlaki. Back in September, I placed an online order that included a pork souvlaki dinner. I received a call a short time later that they were out of it. Since the restaurant is on my way home from work, I stopped in to confirm my credit card was refunded and was again told "sorry, were out of it" Fast forward four months later to tonight.. Pork souvlaki is still on the menu, still available to order online.. So, I placed an online order with some items for other family members, leave work.. Only to receive a call again, this time telling me "we no longer have" pork souvlaki, did you want something else. I specifically go to Pita for this and had I known they don't have it, I wouldn't have ordered there. By this time they already have an order going for my family, yet I'm out a pork dinner and told them I didn't want something else due to a poultry allergy. So at this point, I have to pick up food there for my family, and then go elsewhere for myself.
They've had months to remove an item they no longer have at least from online ordering, if not the menu. If they no longer carry it, you shouldn't be able to order it online. This is deceptive, as people order based on it and decide to go. Further, I find it unusual that a Greek restaurant doesn't have pork.
I will not be returning after having gone there...
Read morePita is a straightforward, fast-casual spot offering classic options like gyros, souvlaki, and pita wraps, with a selection of sides. The restaurant is located in a strip mall with plenty of parking, so there are never any issues finding a spot. However, some of neighboring businesses are no longer in operation, which leaves the area feeling a bit quiet. The space inside is open and airy, but it can feel a little awkward without any background music, as you can clearly hear everyone’s conversations around you.
While the pita bread itself is flavorful and soft, the chicken was unfortunately quite dry, which made the overall texture less enjoyable. The flavors were decent, but the dryness of the chicken stood out. I got tzatiki sauce on the side and it helped. One thing to note is that each topping you add that is not already on the item itself, is an additional charge.
I enjoyed the zucchini fritters—crispy and packed with flavor. However, at four fritters per order, I felt it was a bit pricey for the portion size. There’s a self-serve soda fountain along with a limited selection of beers available.
Service was strangely slow and what I can only described as "unbothered". A simple, satisfying meal, but there are areas for...
Read moreVery disappointed with my family’s most recent visit. We have been going to Pita since they opened a few years ago. Up until today, we have been pleased with the food and service. However, today my brother placed an online order at 5:39pm and on the confirmation it stated the order would be ready for pick up in store at 6:18pm. When I arrived in store at 6:10pm, I was quickly shushed one of the workers when I told him I was picking up an online order. They were somewhat busy so I understood the chaos he was dealing with. However, what I can not understand is the fact that every walk in received priority for the orders being ready over the many other online order customers, including myself. I ended up waiting 20 minutes past the actual time it was scheduled for, which means I received my order 1 hour after placing it online. I did not put a hard time in the store because we are usually very pleased with the food. However, when I arrived home, the gyro was much smaller than previous gyros, and one of the selected meats was missing from my bowl. The meat that was actually in the...
