Updated Review: I was getting ready for tomorrow when I return to this Arby’s to get my other Greek Gyro from today’s mess up. Now I’ll be talking to the manager about another issue I just noticed on my receipt. When I went through the drive-through, I told the server that I had two coupons I gave him the order for the first coupon told him how much it was. Then I told him how much the other coupon was and what it was for, so I ordered it. I looked at my receipt and I was charged seven dollars for a $5.99 coupon. I clearly told the server how much each coupon was as I placed each order. I did not whisper or stutter my order. I said “I have two coupons, one is for two gyros for $7.00” I was asked greek or roast beef, I said “greek”, I paused a second then said “the second coupon is $5.99 for a burger meal” I was asked which burger, I said “I don’t know what you have” then server started naming them off, I said “the deluxe with curly fries and a diet coke” I was told the price to please drive around to window. I wasn’t thinking it was more than it should be I just paid, waited for food and left. But I was charged seven dollars so the manager is going to hear from me about this issue as well. I will not be visiting this Arby’s anymore. How did the server get $7.00 on the second coupon? I just don’t get it! Rest of the story is below in original post.
Original review: I used coupons and ordered my meals through the drive through. When I told them I had coupons and stated my order for coupons. My first coupon I stated was for 2 gyros for $7. I was asked if I wanted the greek or roast beef. I stated greek. Then I said the second coupon was for a burger meal for $5.99. I was asked which burger. I stated the deluxe. When I got home and ate the greek gyro I pulled the second one out and found a turkey thing. Then I looked at my receipt and the server had put one greek gyro and one turkey. Then I looked at my father’s burger as he was eating it and it was pink inside with searing of the meat on the outside. I hope he doesn’t get sick. If Arby’s is going to make burgers they need to ensure their burgers are fully cooked through. To many cases of salmonella poisoning, food poisoning, and listeria poisoning happening because restaurants and or fast food chains don’t ensure their food is handled or cooked properly.
The gyro I had, had far too much sauce on it so it over powered the flavor of the meat. Sliced onions should be diced and not rings because you can’t bite them into pieces when taking a bite. As to should the tomatoes be diced because of tomato skin. Arby’s needs to learn how to prep a true gyro.
Arby’s should have just stuck with what they know and that’s Roast Beef. Plenty of other burger joints out there but they want in on the action or maybe it’s just greed. No other fast food joint makes roast beef. There’s chicken joints, pizza joints, burger joints etc… Why change. It was working. You know the old saying “IF IT AINT BROKE DONT FIX IT “.
Now I have to return tomorrow to get the other greek gyro that I wanted today, to replace the servers screw up. This is not the first time I’ve ordered something from this Arby’s and it was wrong. We don’t eat out often so this was supposed...
Read moreUsually my husband and I have a good experience there, but not Saturday evening. The crew was more interested in visiting with their friends in the table area than cleaning or doing their jobs. It seemed to be a young crew with no supervision. All of the tables were dirty which was a first. My husband went to the car and got our emergency Lysol wipes. We used those to clean our table while the crew visited with their friends. They gave us our food, but we needed marinara sauce for the fried cheese. My husband went to the counter while they visited. The teacher in me finally said, "Hey! My husband needs your help!" One worker helped while the others kept visiting. Another worker carried a fried cheese in his hand out for them to try. The whole experience left a really bad taste in my mouth. No pun intended. I am not sure we will go back. Is this the kind of service I should expect from now on? No thanks. We'll...
Read moreI thought that since the store had been opened for a little bit that they would have worked out the new hire kinks. Boy was I disappointed today at my first visit. Fortunately at noon on a Saturday there were only four cars ahead of me so the wait was not that long. I had to correct the young lady at the speaker concerning my drink after she read it back to me and said sweet tea in which I had ordered unsweet. So I repeated unsweet to correct her. I live only minutes from this new location and when I got home I realized that the tea was in fact sweet, there is no way to call what I got as far as fries being anywhere near curly... They were merely cold pieces of french fry remnants that must have been leftovers in the pan. The sandwich was good but reaching in to get a napkin that was non-existent was also a letdown. Maybe I'll have better...
